the issue was that our last good goalie was given a 10.5M per year contract... if Primeau doesn't pan out they still need a good goalie lol.

also, as much as I appreciate the optimism, that's quite the bold statement about fighting for a playoff spot. and will they make them? because if they don't, and barely miss them, they just end up with a very "blah" draft pick in what is supposed to be one of the best drafts since McJesus.

they won't fight for a playoffs spot Pat, you are right. we knew they could surprise a few teams in the first 2 months... but that's about it. reality will catch up to them soon enough.

personally I don't care if he stays around the team or not, I know some people find this crucial but if he isn't given another role within the organization it's kind of pointless. I doubt his presence is absolutely necessary to boost the team's morale, and it might be depressing more than anything for him to be around but not being able to play at all.

it kinda sucked that Weber wasn't there for Guy's tribute, but at least he showed up at the funeral. I don't understand people freaking out about this.
