Ok so cast iron is the best for cooking. Has to be seasoned. Chicken marinated in fat free low cal Italian dressing. Let cool, dice up to small pieces. Get a large bowl and add mayo, (yes worst ingredient) brown mustard, dried dill, dried cranberries, raw walnuts, salt and pepper to taste. I’ll cook four large breasts so I can have enough for the week maybe. Triskuts are the the carb craving but I keep it to a minimum. When you take the time and effort to cook for yourself and eat small portions a couple times a day it gets rewarding. Especially when the weight starts melting off. I’ve had a few Rums so I know I’m missing something, but I hope the the type of , or a way of eating helps. Small portions is key

I’ll second on the cast iron. You can cook stovetop or in oven.
Works awesome on gas stove.
I like to cut chicken breasts into two or three cooks faster and easier to eat on sandwiches later in the week.
I usually go more Mediterranean style. With olive oil, light on balsamic vinegar, olives, capers, mushrooms, dried tomatoes, rosemary, cracked black pepper top with feta. Cook on stovetop until reduced and finish in oven.

Bill may be travelling back home and couldn’t get blog in is my guess.

Ha ha.

Good stuff Angus.

My diabetes is in remission, but I have gained some weight back, am at 250 lbs now, so caution is in order.

I was hankering for some KoFC (Korean). But I guess I should abstain.

Grumble, grumble.

Intriguing recipe though. How do you cook the breast in the skillet? That sounds like a chicken salad, so I guess it's not fried. Steamed with lid on? Why in a skillet then? Mayo is not exactly lo cal either.

For a guy who doesn't go to supermarkets and lives off the land, you have some fancy recipes (and fancy smoothies) in your repertoire.

Speaking of lo cal, you know what makes for a great parmiagiano reggiano sub for pesto? Nutrititional yeast. And a good mayo sub? Cannellini beans with some raw cashews (soaked for 1 hour in lukewarm water) blended in something powerful (vitamix/nurtibullet etc).

Speaking of "dark mustard" do you mean grey poupon or the like? I favor old skool Brooklyn style mustard (a brand called Ba Tampte), though ofc it is made in California nowdays.

Recently, a friend got me a tube of Estonian mustard, the name of which spelled backwards is..

Stay away from beans and dried fruit. Use olive or avocado oil if you are going to fry it. Stay away from nuts too.

I just like that as the games go on, Hart has locked it down and given the team a chance to stay in the game.
- MBFlyerfan

Totally. Having an actual system and making the team play it also helps your goalie.

Free AHL games on … anyone watching Phantoms? Ersson looks good.
- landros 2

Ersson is very good. Dude put up great numbers in Sweden. If we can Fedotov over here, we can flip Sandstrom and one other for some talent.

Why?
As for harmful effects of nuts, I am immune to them thanks to HB practice.

Great fun.

As far as regular season games go in pro sports, nothing is more satisfying than a Dallas beatdown on prime time

Great weekend to be a Philly fan. I mean, I know we want that top pick as Flyers fans, but the fact is we saw winners.

I gotta say this. Perhaps it’s because I watched him play in PSU, but if I could cherry pick any player in the NFL for the Birds, it would undoubtedly by Micah Parsons.

He is the best defender in the NFL today.

Having said that, it was fun to see him be "read" so many times successfully. That thing he did with Goedert (when he picked up the unsportsmanlike penalty) and pretended to rush but dropped back, I wonder why he did not do that more often.

Country club claude is gone. Who would of thunk it
- Fopa21

This is absolutely true .. when Cam Atkinson said it was a country club around here last year, that had to be a direct shot at the player wearing the 'C'. How much more evidence is needed? But if you wanted more, look at the difference in effort from this team now that G is gone.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse. So just to be clear, what you're insinuating is that the rest of the team didn't play with high enough effort because Claude Giroux was on the team and was the captain? Are you sure you want to add this to your already in the gutter HB legacy?

I agree. Giroux was a fantastic player for the Flyers for over a decade, but they needed someone else to be the leader. This regime was a bunch of country clubbers with Jakey and Claude as the faces of the organization. There is no denying that. And the other reality is that multiple coaches tried to get them over the hump and couldn't. If Claude really wanted a Cup before retiring why did he go back home to Ottawa? He can live there the rest of his life after he retires if he chooses. The Sens ain't winnin a Cup before he retires. Thanks!
