Pure guess Tavares and Wheeler.

The coaching staff have gone out of their way to establish the top 3 forward lines and the top 2 D pairings in pre-season. There has been a focus on not pushing players too hard. Also, the additions of Debrincat, Giroux, Pinto and Sanderson are huge and will help them make huge gains this year. The team should get off to a solid start, even with the current coaching staff.

Unlike last year, opposition teams will be starting their #1 goaltenders and taking the team much more seriously. So fewer easy wins for them this year.

I will consider this year to be a success if they make the playoffs and a failure if they are out of the playoffs race before March.

I wrote about it last year, the amount of times the Sens got back up goalies and in some cases 3rd string goalie....like you said, they arent going to facing many back up goalies this year, that will play a huge role in their results. Agree with you on what you consider success or failure this year.
