I think if Simmonds is waived to the minors, he pulls a Spezza and says I will retire if someone claims me - dmnted
I doubt someone claims him. But either way Spezza made a lot more money in his career...Simmer is getting a little over a million in actual salary this season. He is playing hockey this year.
I think he would welcome the Marlies and a call up option. Gets to keep his family in Toronto and helping the kids down there could be a nice transition into coaching.
Also I think the reason they backloaded his contract was so no team would pick him up on waivers if he was sent down this year. |

That’s what I think. There are so many Engvall types in camp. I’d move him now to avoid losing someone to waivers - Canada Cup
I'd move him too. I really did not like his playoff series v. Tampa. |

Doesn't read like coach that's thinking a trade is coming. Must be some Pridham magic in the air. - The Law
Apparently JT may be ready for the opener.
If that is the case they may not have to trade anyone just yet. |

Id say decent. He’s a 6-7 guy. As depth and injury fill in he is ok. He got some attention from the coaching staff early on. He is what he is, nobody should expect more but… he’s been ok Id say. |

Agreed. Not good enough that I’d be comfortable trading Holl |

I think if everyone was healthy and you had Benn and Mete as depth backups, maybe you could trade Holl. I think Engvall is easier to replace/upgrade with ZAR and allows you Robertson. Then again never know, Dubas you just never see his moves coming so.... have to just wait and see really.

Chris Lamoriello is likely the next GM of the Islanders. I’ve always heard he’s good at his job, a quality person, and he’ll do things his own way.

Well he's been an AGM and AHL GM for 4000 years. Might as well give him a sloth. |

Sloths make great pets. They are quiet, clean and sleep a lot. Chris wanted a slot but dad gave him the Islanders instead. A snake might have been a good compromise |

Gotta think JT slides into line 2 pushing Willie to wing ....and Robbie and Malgin are battling for the 3rd spot. Otherwise, that's it.
Still not sure what kind of Capnastics Pridham can pull to make it fit, but ....
Bottom 6 looks signifantly better IMO. |

He was hoping for the Devils as his birthright, but it wasn't in the cards as a descendant of John of Gaunt. |

I think they’d worry about the defense they’d get from JT, Willie and Little Nickie or the Malgun. Maybe Jarnrok slides up there and they use Willie on a third line. (I don’t think they’ve tried that yet though.) |
