Go re read your first comment- You came off as a troll. Only in your most recents have you come of with more reasonable criticism. If you read this blog often, you will see that nobody is more self loathing than we are here. Some of us (not I) thought K'andre was a bust for a lot of last season and that he should be shipped away for whatever we can get. Good thing Drury is the GM and not many of us who post here - Greschnergy#4
My apologies, not intentional. I think the playoffs was a coming out party for Miller. He is a great skater and a huge man that certainly got my attention. All the best to you and the Rangers. Unfortunately I do not own Shesterkin, broke my heart trading him but I recieved Jason Robertson and Jake Oettinger for him. In a keeper league this was a gamble I had to take. Robertson is a stud and Oettinger has a chance to be not far behind Shesty. Take care and thanks for the good communication. My apologies for the unintentional first post, was just being opiniated. |

I think you are referring to me but I will explain that I watched every Ranger game played last year. I owned Shesterkin, Zibanejad, Kreider, Miller, Trouba, and drafted Laff and Kakko in previous years. The Rangers are a big part of my life and sorry if I sound critical but merely stating how I feel about certain players. Kakko for a first round pick that high is driving me crazy. He is starting to look just like Puljujarvi in Edmonton, basically all the skill in the world yet can't put it together in a game. - joegreif17
Not just you, but so many come on to this board just to trash the rangers |

That and that they have to intentionally injure opposing players to win playoff games. - ScrantonDangler
We don't "have to." It's just easier.

Take away PP and Shest and the Rangers suck? If thats their formula to win games and it works how is this even relevant. Lets just take away other teams strengths and see how they fair. Barring like 2 or 3 complete teams this is what makes hockey so competitive and fun to watch. get outta here |

Totally agree.
I always hate those arguments.... Take away Gretzky and you wouldn't have cups! Take away Lemiux and Jagr... Take away Crosby... Take away Stamkos, etc.
Facts win vs. the what if scenarios. |

The biggest flaw in his comments are that he doesn't acknowledge that EVERY TEAM has noticeable shortcomings due to the salary cap. Even the Stanley Cup winning Avs have a huge question in goal. There are no "perfect teams" anymore due to parity created by the cap... |

Same song and dance during Lundquist years. Rangers suck except for their goalie. Last time I checked Shesty is a NY Ranger

I do believe his comments were in regards to the New York Rangers. He was not discussing other teams strengths or weaknesses. He also acknowledged that Shesty is the best goalie in the world in his opinion and the Ranger pp is lights out. He forgot to mention that by the trade deadline Patrick Kane is likely a Ranger and off go Kakko and Chytl, maybe Kravstov and a first. That would put the Rangers in a good position to win a cup. |

Brilliant observation. How many cups did the King win? One, lol Nope that was Mike Richter. But I will say with Shesterkin I do believe the chances of winning a cup are greatly improved.

Hank had plenty of good teams, unfortunately the last contract he signed (well deserved) handcuffed the team as to what they could put around him. A couple of bad contracts is all it takes to take a team out of a window and into a rebuild.

I both agree and disagree.
Certainly agree about Hank. But, about bad contracts I think that we've reached the point where that almost isn't an excuse anymore. There are 35 guys in the league this year with a cap hit of $9M or more. 135 guys at $6M and above!!! It is impossible to compete without having at least one contract that complicates the ability to fill holes. No GM can build a top team without getting lucky by guys playing above their weight or hot goaltending, etc.
Any owner that is unhappy with his GM's roster has himself to blame, at least to an extent. IMO. |
