Name calling and insults the best you got? Why don't you just look at the facts. Everyone knows the Rangers have the top goaltender and the top power play. After that there are serious flaws. Nothing that can't be fixed but I think your drinking too much koolaid if you think Vesey is gonna make or break this team. Kakko, Chytil, Kravstov all are first round busts who have had long enough to show they should have been first rounders. Still possible but unlikely they become what you want from first rounders.

forgive him he's a Flyers fan with severe PTSD

how about that Couturier contract? lol

- jimbro83

I blog on Philly as well as every other nhl site. My top two teams are the Preds and Blues so you can get your fact straight. Check out my logo, fan of the nhl. If you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen. Some people just cant accept the facts due to the home team kool aid effect. Wish you guys a great year, love Shesterkin and Zibby. All I am saying is take away the pp and the Shesterkin and the team will struggle.

Obvioulsy spelling is not your strong point. Now Ron Greschner is a beauty so you can't be all wrong, haha I watched him score 103 points for the New Westmintster Bruins in 73-74. I lived 5 minutes from the arena and a big fan of that team Beck, Smyl etc

jimbro83 you know me well enough to know that on the flyer site I go toe to toe with one guy in particular. He seems to argue with almost everyone who will engage. I enjoy your comments for what it is worth. Despite being a die hard Flyers fan from the 80's and up I have to admit deep down there is something there but after Ed passed away this Flyers team is probably the biggest joke of incompetence in the nhl. I can no longer support the nonsense going on. Started with Hakstol as coach, screw ups with Bobrovsky, Schenn who were two of my favs, no longer a Flyerdude. Have drafted and traded to be mostly Blues and Preds in the AHFO keeper starting year 44.

Nothing except count your sleeps, seven more and you got the Bolts at home. I will be watching and hope somebody scores, lol Two best goalies in the nhl showdown.

This team is seriously in big trouble if Vesey cracks the first line. Shesterkin, Fox, Zibanejad, Kreider and Panarin. After these five the only forward that has upside is Lafrenniere . Like Miller and Trouba but after that the rest of the team is full of busts.
Thank god you got the best goalie in the world. Lindgren is injured and he is heart and soul.

Kravs, trocheck, chytl can all provide offense. Kakko should if he shoots more and crashes the net.

If the rangers can play well 5v5 especially the top 3 lines they will be fine

all we gotta do is score more goals than the other team about 50 times to get back to the real season and then try it again

I totally agree and I hope they are as good or better than last year. Too many people not getting my earlier point and if they did they did not like the truth. I hope that Chytil, Kravstov and Kakko can be worthy first rounders. Todate none of them can crack the top six. Miller impresses me more as a first rounder tbh and I think the sky is the limit for him. I predict K'Andre will score 15 goals this year. The D is good, real good.

Kravs only played 20 nhl games. If he stayed last year he would have. This year he starts in the top 6. Chytl played very well in the playoffs and is an above avg 3c. If chytl kravs kakko put up 40 plus points each the rangers will have a very good year

I think you are referring to me but I will explain that I watched every Ranger game played last year. I owned Shesterkin, Zibanejad, Kreider, Miller, Trouba, and drafted Laff and Kakko in previous years. The Rangers are a big part of my life and sorry if I sound critical but merely stating how I feel about certain players. Kakko for a first round pick that high is driving me crazy. He is starting to look just like Puljujarvi in Edmonton, basically all the skill in the world yet can't put it together in a game.

I dont think this is koolaid

The Rangers have a Vezina, a Norris, a Hart finalist, a 50 goal scorer. They also have two real good two way centers and they have a whole bunch of guys under 24 years old (regardless of where they were selected in the draft) that have more potential than you are giving them credit for. Sure if everyone is a bust, then maybe you have a point. But surly some will pan out to be top 6 talent and top 4 defenseman. I am very Happy with Miller and Schneider for example -thank you very kindly.

I agree Kravs was mishandled or maybe he just was not as good as he thought. His stats in the KHL were nothing spectacular. This will be a very interesting season for him to see if he can break out. I believe he has a better chance than Kakko or Chytil to earn top six. Time will tell. Hope your season is filled with acrobatic saves and pp goals.

Your welcome. All very valid points and hey I love the rags. I even have a Dan Blackburn jersey from his rookie year. I do not want to fight but opinions should be valued and debated respectfully. My opinions are just mine and not the way it is. I was offered a tryout with the Rangers in 1970 and they always have a special place in my heart. I watch hockey from 4 to 10 daily, nhl ahl chl and grand kids hockey. I believe I know the game well enough to make constructive comments on hockey players simply by doing the eye test. Just sayin, not here to stir but would love the opportunity to interact amiably.

Go re read your first comment- You came off as a troll. Only in your most recents have you come of with more reasonable criticism. If you read this blog often, you will see that nobody is more self loathing than we are here. Some of us (not I) thought K'andre was a bust for a lot of last season and that he should be shipped away for whatever we can get. Good thing Drury is the GM and not many of us who post here

That and that they have to intentionally injure opposing players to win playoff games.
