Starting next august they have a 7 game series with the college team to see who gets to have the home ice advantage in October/November
- Dozzer

They going to do the mighty ducks 3 thing and put the team name on the line?

Maybe another 5 year deal for good cash and then a Gio/Spezza type year by year after that?

Wonder if he’d take off from Chicago for a couple years and let them use the pics they got for him and then come back and be the solid and highly paid vet for that team

- Dozzer

Maybe. But I feel like 5 years might be a longer commitment than he'd be looking for. Play it by ear on a year to year thing.

That does sound like something he could do for the end of his career, for sure.

I'll put $20 on the collage team.

Depends on the offer I suppose… what if a team offered him a couple million more per year to do the longer term thing? What if he wants it because he doesn’t want to take the chance of being worth less at 35-36 years old. Should be an interesting year when it comes to him.

Well, there aren’t really any bad seats in a 5,000 seat arena. It’s probably a pretty good place to watch an NHL game, or in this case, the Coyotes.

Could happen. I'm basing my thought process more along the lines that winning is the most important thing to him at this stage in his career. He's already made well over $80M, and he'll be getting good money still, so getting the most he could might not be where his head is at.

That's just it. Yeah, every seat will be a good seat. But they're gonna be arguably the worst team in the history of the NHL and it's still a college barn, not an NHL one.

Unless they're rolling two different ticket prices. One set of prices for residents and other prices for fans of other teams making the trek for the "experience".

But he’s still the millionaire who beat up an old man cabbie over 20 cents and he’s also kind of rapey so let’s not get too carried away with trying to figure out where his head is at.

Watch the Coyotes use the fact that they play on a college campus as a way to lure players from the 2018 Junior team

Well… yes but…. Lol

Truly tho… they’re in a wealthier area and still sold 7-8 thousand routinely before so a 5000 seat arena might just let them get away with charging more

Might be what they need to go through to truly start a fanbase… be interesting to see because Arizona is an important state for US TV broadcasting from what I hear, hence the NHL not wanting them to leave the state.

Those are resale tickets. The team says the average seat in the lower bowel is $174 which is slightly above the league average. In their old arena it was $90 for a lower bowel ticket.
