Especially if he identifies as my aunt because that's how they feel that day. Might be a tree the next. Gives a whole new meaning to morning wood. - j.boyd919
If an adult man declares that he identifies as a woman, does that mean he's allowed to use public girls' rest rooms where there may be teen and preteen girls present? |

I would hope not, but that's not the world we live in.

Agreed 100%. What makes it even worse is POJ is a kid we traded a decent asset for, and one we patiently developed in our system to the point that most said after last season that he had improved to the point of being NHL ready. Now we will lose him for nothing and without ever seeing what we really had. And for what? Because we refused to send down a waiver eligible offensively gifted Dman who sucks in his own zone. Maybe I could see that if we hadn't added Petry. Smith will not see any PP time if we're healthy, so do we really that offense on the 3rd pairing at the cost of what many rated as our top prospect? Just sh!tty asset management. - Pags
FYI they've been practicing for a while with both Smith and Petry in the 2nd PP for what it's worth.
I'm interested to see what they do on 2nd pair PK. Ruhwedel has been practicing there. Guess they go back to using Letang or Petry on both units though at their ages wouldn't mind if they took them off PK to save there legs. Seems like they decided to do that with Carter which is a good call. |

I doubt it. Dudes a twig. Rather have signed Gudbranson than ever give him a shot in the nhl. - Grinder47
POJ is actually pretty strong though so he doesn't get pushed around like say Pettersson does. Dude just can't put on weight. |

No one wants to lose POJ, including myself, but Smith (another LD prospect with more upside) wasnt part of the equation not all that long ago. I think we need to look at this as Smith is the new LD prospect we want to keep and POJ is a lesser one that we will probably lose. We all thought POJ would be ready for, and getting, 3rd LD time this season...but the Pens upgraded their LD prospect to take that spot....
...hopefully Smith turns out better than POJ...might take a few years to know this for sure...and by then our big 3 are almost 40 years old anyway haha - MattStrat
Smith could easily turn out better than POJ, but with Dumoulin a UFA and needing to find money to give Jarry a pay raise it would be nice to have both.
Then again it's very possible none are a top pair LHD. If they have to shell out money for that position could be in trouble |

Yes. As has always been the problem for secondary scorers coming here. |

Bringing some levity to the question of identification.

I've been hoping the past few seasons that the would start to cut down Sid, Geno and Tanger's PP time. It'll pay dividends late in games, especially late in the season, and playoffs*. I understand having your best players out there a lot but how many times did we see them not score into the 2nd minute of a PP and cough it up and get scored against? I've seen people here argue that PP's aren't all that physically taxing...which I think is a pile of steaming sh!t.
*if they make it in.

Not that this is any revelation or anything, but the Pens need to selectively rest our old guys during the season. Turn 2 day breaks into 4 day breaks a few times. Or, maybe have them skip one of the b2b's. These guys play through enough bumps and bruises during the season so it really doesn't need to be an excuse.....ie "resting an old guy".

I am very pleased the Penguins are not in Prague this week and starting their season there today.
Its pretty dumb, to me anyway, that there's both regular season and pre season games on the same day. |

Def not. I’ve said that many times. Especially down the stretch though they are gonna need it. Carter looked like a different person after the all star break. |
