Maybe York or Sanheim - NC Flyers Fan
Could be true, York is already seemingly on Tort's radar, and Torts is being pretty upfront about him. Tonight's game didn't help York's cause. |

You down for that? - DrMidnite
There are not a lot of options, and they need more high draft picks now. Left side defense is a real obvious strength.

but its most likely legit.....aside from the # of games - THE BLACK HAND
Good point. Looking at the list, the others all juiced.

Ersson HAS to be ahead of Grosslick on the goalie depth chart now! I didn't see tons of preseason action(if you want to call it that), but every time I saw him he looked calm and fundamentally strong. Grosslick looks like he's ready to implode at every turn. Gotta go with the kid until he inevitably gets injured. We are talking about Chuckles here, so he'll probably trade Ersson for a 7th rounder tomorrow. Speaking of Chuckles, I am SOOOOOOO glad that he chose to draft York over Caufield(scored his 3rd goal of the preseason tonight)!! FIRE CHUCK NOW! |

The amount of injuries this team has had in last few years is nuts. There has to be a trend. Coincidences don’t happen over and over again. - AngryJoe

I have an idea of how we want to play, I hope we have guys that are willing to play that way and try to piece together lines and pairs from there.
-Torts
Wow! This to me is a bombshell statement, and tells us what state this group is in currently. One player that I think is not reacting well to Torts is York, and that should be a big concern because he is one of the younger players this team is counting on in years to come. I think Torts is doing what he always does the first year in a new organization, weed out who is part of the solution and who is part of the problem, and thus I think there will be a few surprises (barring injuries) in the opening game lineup. |

The others (McGuire, Sosa, Thome, and Bonds especially) are all cheaters and not only should be banned from the HoF, but should also have their records removed from the game. The true home run champ in my book is still Babe Ruth, who hit more home runs in less games than anyone else. I love Hank Aaron, but he he hit more home runs in about 4000 more at bats than Ruth! |

Good showing for the Flyers, but it will probably be how most games go. Maybe the Isles get better, that was most of their A squad, or maybe they are just not that good |

On the positive side at least the Flyers are giving younger goaltenders a chance to show what they have.
It's probably the brightest spot for them with potential with Hart, Sandström and Ersson plus I wouldn't count out Kolosov. Who knows what will happen with Fedotov if he will ever be allowed to leave. - Glak18
From what I could tell from highlights, Grosenick didn't look very good last night at all. I'm really hoping Hart is able to perform without basically no game action from camp, and that Sandstrom can capably backup. Ersson hasn't been bad but Grosenick is an AHl tender. |

York hasn't done much. You can argue Bellpedio has been better. My prediction is unless York steps up this last week he will be sent down. Seeler and Braun 3rd pair. Funny how Zamula is pretty much forgotten.
How does ND and ZM get more ice time than Tanner? Switch roles for Jackson and Tanner see how it goes. Tanner imo would be solid bottom 6 guy. Hard to show it when stapled to 2 slugs. |

Obvious roster players are Sanheim and JVR plus 1 or 2 prospects. I can't see how the Flyers can afford to resign Sanheim unless they are pretty sure Ellis will retire. - jd250
You aren't getting a top 15 pick for JVR in whole or part of a trade. The Flyers can absolutely afford to re-sign Sanheim. There is no chance that Ellis will retire. Why would he?

Thanks. I live in Philadelphia sports territory with blackouts, but my cable provider doesn't carry any Comcast owned channels because "they are the competition". Now that they got rid of the Center Ice package for this ESPN/TNT crap deal I can't get local games. - Glak18
I'm out of market and watched on CI last night. It was weird, though, because on television (xfinity) the game was blacked out because it was the Islanders, but I could stream it via the xfinity app on my iPad. Also weird because I don't pay for CI this year. |

ESPN+ shows maybe 25-30% of the Flyers, if that. Maybe 6-8 games on TNT and rest are NBCSP+ which is comcast locked.
EDIT: I just want to pay $150-200 a year for all game AGAIN! - Glak18
This. I'd pay $250 if they'd get rid of the stupid blackouts.

I checked my account last night and didn't see a charge yet - I'll check again. If they still offer it I may do it again rather than ESPN+

I saw their first ad for the new hockey season and it featured Mark Messier. Hellava hockey player, but not much of a TV personality. FIRE CHUCK! |

Thome did not cheat. If you have proof to the contrary please post it.

Watched some last. Grosenick is not good. Ersson looked really good in the small part of the game I saw. Noah Cates is a good bottom six player. Not much else to go on honestly. Hopefully they skew more towards the youngsters for opening day roster. |
