Can cut without money being spent vs still needing the swedish chef to get to the floor. Also when you are the rev driver, if you do need to spend money you can point to the money being brought in. Just a couple of reasons.

It was actually an honest question as I have a close friend who smokes consistently, and while he claims he has no memory issues, he often has problems remembering things.

Saying we need 40 games of Bjork is like saying we need more carries from Zack Moss in Bills games 😆😂

Milano, playing with Zegras, had a career year last year. Analytically he blew it out of the (frank)ing water. He was positive in all situations.

His goals above stats were normally 1-2 but that shot to 10 on Anaheim.

Replacing Bjork with Milano would not only save you money (waiver claim) but would also provide 2-3 wins.

So what's a guy with such a great year doing as a UFA?

The 14th forward for the Sabres over the past three years in games played:

Mittelstadt- 40
Asplund- 28 in a 56-game season (41 game pace)
Asplund - 29 in 69 (35 game pace)

So recent history suggests the 14th forward will play somewhere between 35 and 40 games

- Hank Balling

But recent history didn’t have obvious call-ups available in Rochester either

I think it’s highly unlikely we see Bjork playing 35+ games

I don't see them skipping over a healthy rostered forward and going with a call-up instead but I guess we'll see

I’ll worry more about it IF we actually start seeing Bjork playing regularly

MASH unit.

Sean McDermott on @WGR550 rules out safety Jordan Poyer and tight end Dawson Knox, among others expected, for Sunday’s game against the Steelers.

McDermott also ruled out CB Christian Benford, WR Jake Kumerow and WR Jamison Crowder.

Crowder expected to be placed on IR

McDermott also said Isaiah McKenzie is still in concussion protocol

Well isn't that special. Guess if Poyer is going to miss another game this is the game to miss.

Do u think there’s any way that Bjork plays anything close to 40games this year?

I’d be surprised if he plays in 10

Of course there's a way. Injuries.

I read some things from Ana guys.. They seem to think for every goal he scored he was at least in part responsible for two against. That was their portrayal, I watched maybe two Ana games so I can't comment on it beyond that perhaps GMs see playing with Zegras bumped scoring, but the actual player was still bad.

Well analytically that's not really correct. It can't be true.

Probably actually adding more to the cap if you were to waive him depending on who you brought up, and he F@cking actually makes more getting sent down 1.8m

Let me rephrase. Helps them get to the cap floor. Can't trade anyone without celery coming back. Would be 800K harder (seems small, but is there) if it was another vet min/ELC. So kinda? I guess I don't see the issue as much as you guys do for a guy yes who will see max 35 games on the fourth line getting 10 min a night. The "replacements" available and the ones we can get would be what, marginally better at best? He's taken up too much internet ink imo, but keep going with it I guess.

He does not make more in the minors then in the NHL.

You are mixing up his cap hit versus his actual salary.

https://www.capfriendly.com/players/anders-bjork

His NHL and minors salary is the same this season, just as it was the prior 2 seasons of his contract.

They would be above the cap floor by roughly a little over $100K if they traded Bjork for nothing, and that doesn't include the salary of the player that would take his place.

Example: Trade Bjork for nothing, put Malone in the minors, have Peterka and Sheahan on the NHL roster = roughly $1.2M over the cap floor.

The cap is a non-issue regarding how much Bjork helps it.

The point is about trying to improve your roster everywhere possible, no matter how small the improvement, and almost any player would be a positive impact over Bjork.
