Many years now, everyone knows to shoot at gloves side of Murray. I guess he got better now.

The idiots booing the powerless powerplay.

In preseason.

Also: Pretty sure Hoffman just beat a record for the number of turnovers in the same powerplay.

losing sucks, but poor execution and not scoring any goals is just pathetic. I doubt it'll be like this for 82 games, but if it's the case then I might watch the Rocket more lol

Leskinen looks pretty good. Nothing flashy, does lots of good things.

giving Matt Murray a bit of confidence, at least there's something they're doing well....

Gonna win the Vezina if all he does is play against the Habs.

Two biggest things I noticed tonight:

1/ Lots of players out of position, especially on defence.... but that is also likely with not having regular linemates and roles for a lot of these guys.

2/ They need to shoot. So many passes to try to make the perfect play... at least 8 times Habs should have shot on a really good look (then try for the rebound), but they passed to try to make the pretty play. And failed.

very valid points, especially the second one, they had 5 shots on goal during the whole 1st period, and this was also an issue the game before.

glad at least to see Monahan skating rather comfortably out there.

For a first game, Monahan was OK.

He does not seem slow or hampered by his previous injuries.
