Even after bringing those guys in, there was still talk about offering pto”s to some guys. I wish they would have offered Motte one.

Hahaha... Well... Every team knows the Pens might have to waive him and a lot of teams are currently over or tight against the cap right now. Could be factors... Not that he's a stud, or gaurenteed NHL regular, but he was showing at the AHL level his play was ready for big time.

Poulin looks night and day from last years camp. His skating is noticeably improved.

I'm not sure if he'll ever produce consistent offense, but he was not out of place with the pace of play. That was pretty close to an NHL game.

I think he's a serviceable third pairing defenseman, but in reality he is a plug, he's not an NHL regular, just a guy who bounces between the press box and some games.

Yeah I liked him as a 13th forward that could actually contribute offensively when called upon. Oh well. We still have DOC for that role and he’s still waiver exempt so not a huge biggie.

Kind of how I feel. Zohorna wasn't healthy last year so maybe he's a little better than we give him credit for. But I don't think it's a big loss and one less obstacle for guys like DOC and Poulin.

That surprises me. I remain high on him. But LHD aren't hard to find. Think he'll end up on a second pair somewhere else.

At the same time, Smith is a talent I wouldn't want to block.
