Im not the least bit surprised by Vesey, when they gave him a PTO I had a feeling hed have a great ahot to make the team. Hes not what we thought we’d get when we drafted him but hes still a very solid hockey player.

I wonder if they send Othmann back to OHL with an agenda to play more RW. I wonder if thats something Drury/management could ask of them.

We never drafted Vesey, we traded for his rights like we did with Fox...

You’re both wrong He was a free agent because Nashville couldn’t get him signed.

Edit: drafted by Nashville… then traded to Buffalo… then signed by the Rangers as a FA?

He seems like he needs to be in counseling and probably heavily medicated

One day he's going to pick a fight with the wrong guy and realize that he's not as strong as he was when he was an NHL player.

That or, more likely, just end up in jail

Probably not, dude could handle his own in the NHL. We are a country full of obese diabetics and he's yelling at people in the hollywood hills who can't even mow their own lawns, let alone fight.

With Jets looming on schedule Sunday, Tyreek Hill is asked how close he was to joining the NY Jets this past offseason (via a trade): "It was very close to happening. Just those state taxes man. I had to make a grown up decision."

Almost 10% difference on a large contract like he received = MAJOR $$$$
If he played in NYC ( like a Ranger ) the city tax would be added making it an even larger tax bill. Jets actually are based and play in New Jersey so its not as bad as it could be...

Still pre-season --- it just means they are considering all options. Still just a placeholder spot until Kane arrives!

To show how well this has gone over, here is one of the twitter comments:
Man, Buchnevich on that top line would be something. Just subtract Goodrow, Blais, and Reaves and we are there. Almost like it was obvious the whole time.…

I remember checking my phone (probably this site before I joined) 1000x that day and going nuts when he signed here. The hype on him was unreal.

Oh, I know your stance and that wasn't your comment. People can't move on from moves made in the past.

As I said, hes playing well, no reason not to atleast give it a look.

However we both know Kane will be playing with Panarin.

Got the dude for free and then traded him for a 3rd rounder. Not bad asset management anyone who says different is an ass hat. If he makes team this year, because of the way he is playing and has good year, all the better. Only [paying him 800K

People just cant accept the fact that there was hardly a market for Buch and youre not always gonna win every trade. We couldnt afford to sign him and we got what we got, end of story.
