Few thoughts on the first period

-I had no idea Tyler Hall was in the line up until the end of the period. Pretty impressive to hold Boston’s line up to two shots that period.

-Noah Cates is playing well. It’s not the points side of the game, he can pretty much do everything that asked of him. Strong on the forcheck, good skater, can kill penalties.

-I don’t like how Hayes is being used. I don’t know if Hayes is taking it upon himself or it’s coaching. He’s handling the puck a lot on the power play on that left half wall, with the left handed shot. I think you really want the puck in Frost’s hands on the right side. Hayes I think is trying to be that playmaker, when you probably want Frost to be.

Overall I think we look better with a better line up in place. I kinda wish Torts was at ice level like he said he would be originally. What is he waiting for?

I don't know. He hasn't spoken during camp (to be fair, he hasn't been requested yet). All that was said yesterday was maintenance day. But he plays through everything.

What is Ristolainen expected to be exactly? I saw two defensemen who should be a little stronger on the two Bruins forwards who are being allowed to take free shots on net in close. One being Bergeron, so I’m wondering where Hayes is as well. Yeah Risto deserves fault but definitely not alone there. Is this just gonna be a season or female doging about one player?
