I totally get it, French isn't necessarily always easy to read at times with all the Quebecer subtilities loll

Omg!! Your sayings, conjugating verbs, poop is female and male even tho it’s an object!!

I’m doing my best!! I want to be fluent in it someday, but it’s getting discouraging!! Lol

we're very binary, not as woke as you English fellas

the only way to be 100% fluent is through immersion imho, unless you're some kind of genius polyglot. my spanish wasn't bad when I was studying a OttawaU because I was practicing frequently but I lost a lot of it now.

Haha!!

You’re 100% right about immersion. You have to be surrounded, inundated and almost forced to speak, respond and generally understand thru repetition.

I want to move to Montreal!! But that might be in a good while.

the "base form"? ok. see I don't find it sounds as nice as "papillon", or "mariposa"... the German version also kinda sounds a bit harsh, SCHMETTERLING!!!

Yeah, because, "the butterfly eats him" is "motyl go zjada" according to google, and "he eats the butterfly" is "on zjada motyla", where motyla means that it's the object of the sentence, or "he eats the butterfly sandwich" is "zjada kanapkę z motylem".

Yes, it's pronounced like the French "in". Also the a cédille is pronounced French "on".

sure, but if he plays in Laval to start the year it's because of his own individual play, as you mentioned if he was having a really good camp they'd make a spot for him.
- Pat1993

I'd prefer if he went to Laval and learned to dominate, for most of the season.

wouldn't be such a bad scenario for him, better than playing on the 3rd or 4th line in MTL imho.
