I’m ok with core vets not playing full out. Ex games are not the time to risk injury. The AHLers other than DiGi weren’t very good. Wolanin looked solid. Bones was OK but didn’t have much talent up front to feed. Hog didn’t win any brownie points.

Sure. But it doesn’t seem anyone is playing well. Have injuries guaranteeing spots taken urgency away? Coach Bruce can’t be happy. Make cuts and fix this team to be ready.

So the preseason doesn’t matter, unless it does.

A good example: #Canucks losing their fourth preseason game in a week, that doesn’t matter. At all.

Canucks giving up a screamer quality scoring chances every 30 seconds, however, that’s not nothing and you don’t want to see it.

Boudreau bump died last year

There's what, 3 preseason games left? Time to cut a lot of fat and get the main group together to work poop out.... and keep an eye to waivers? Haven't watched any games, but from reading the D is severely lacking

Team looks disjointed again. I would have thought by now that some of these lines of players that have been together for a couple of years would have found chemistry. Just not happening.

Team is either flying along or just a train wreck, in game and in schedule. No consistency and age shouldn't be an excuse for that anymore.

As Ruby said unless teams make a big decision about a rookie, you aren't going to find much on waivers for defenders.

I doubt trading Horvat for Risto would improve the Canucks defensively.

No, not much on waivers, but potentially more than what they have now. Didn't they claim Schenn off waivers the first time?

I went through and looked at all possible waiver players for defenders. Honestly no, Ruby thought Meloche and Mackey from CGY. Kovacevic for Wpg was probably the only other guy I could find. I mean if we really didn't care, you could try out a bunch of mid 20 year olds that have less than 10 games experience. Means waiving a guy who is probably better.

It's pretty ugly for defenders out there these days.

I think the D is what it is. In the first intermission Murph asked Joshua what the team needs to do to generate more offensive chances. His answer, break out better. Current D except Hughes and maybe Rathbone can’t complete a pass longer that 4’

D is "adequate", I'm not sure how that can translate into a successful season, especially when the injuries start.

Great squad the Canucks have out there!

Just caught the hilites and we didn't score a goal

Odd 'climate' in the Seattle rink...

Pre-season is all over the map can't get a handle on anything until we see the full roster under Boudreau to start the year. 20-25 games in we'll know what we have and where to tweak for TDL.

I watched the first 2 periods, that's all I could handle.

They need to work on their defense systems if they plan on having any success.

If you can't break out better then high off the glass and get the fucking puck out. Let the forwards deal with it in the neutral zone. Basic Hockey Math son.

not likely. We have a shot to beat Det but I'll take DET by 9 at home today. Pete Carroll is a tool.

Seattle is a 3.5 dog, I took them on a parlay at 2.60 money line. Yes, Pete needs to go soon.
