He was (frank)ing horrendous and it's not even a debate. He was a multi year problem. Team on the verge of back to back 90 win seasons, despite him being there for a year and a half of it. The difference in the team is visibly night and day from what it was before they fired him.

Schneider much better. Montoya’s biggest problem was that he never bucked front office who called the shots on too many decisions. Hv held the team together last year but he wasn’t very good but he was far, far from the worst.

But that's what they wanted, really. A yes man that does it their way. And he was perfectly fine with that because he didn't know what to do anyways.

Honestly, I would've had no problems with Montoyo being a bench coach, since most players seemed to really like him. Just not manager, since he was booty cheeks at it.
