Simmonds is quicker this year but that’s about it.

I’m not sure either Malgin or Nickie can play on the bottom six unless maybe they go two checkers and a scorer. Kubel makes the team for sure. The line with Kampf and ZAR seems pretty set.

Holmberg has been good but I think he’s waiver eligible. I like Steeves but he’s probably a stretch

Yeah Simmonds for me would be a waiver and down guy. I know there was mention one checking line three attacking lines maybe but who knows.

I have liked the young guys too. Think a lot are got to start pushing to break in.

I get the whole Belleville thing, but not sure why Ottawa would only ice AHL players tonight

Cant wait for his brilliant analysis or the other one saying Robertson will never be a NHL player.

Man, it's amazing how big an improvement John Schneider is for the Jays.

I mean, yeah. Montoyo was (frank)ing horrendous and should've been fired over a year ago, but it's a real breath of fresh air having John Schneider manager the team.

Imagine if they actually did this sooner like they should've, though? Probably would've made an actual big move at the deadline.

Why? 162 games is a huge grind and after just missing last year a celebration is in order. As long as they didn’t party on your lawn, and as long as nobody was injured by a corkscrew, party on boys

They were World Series favourites who have struggled/underachieved all year and squeaking into a wildcard playoff spot
In hockey, the teams don’t even touch the conference 🏆 because of bad luck

I was thinking it was great they clinched without playing, since they can save the celebration for the big win

I get the players want to let loose after 157 games, but as I said to the others we were out for dinner with………
If this was the Leafs, social media would be exploding right now

Hockey culture has its thumb so far up its own ass it sounds like Gary Bettman. We’re not going to touch the Cup that is a great accomplishment is absurd. Every team that gets in celebrates.

Yankees celebrated when they clinched and Jays celebrated after a 9-0 win. Again, it’s a big accomplishment. You deserve to celebrate. Enjoy it.

And yes, social media would blow up if the Leafs celebrated getting into the playoffs when you pretty much have to be the Ottawa Senators to not make it and when the Leafs have other issues
