lol well played but is he guilty before the trial?

Just expected MTL to be a leader against the Ads on jerseys didn't not expect the Oilers to lead the way here. Good on them. Like there isn't enough fucking ads all over the facility they really needed that jersey ad revenue? A joke man and you know it.

Eh. I'm not against the ads on jerseys, though I do think it interesting which teams don't have them and which ones do.

It's embarrassing. But as always cash is king and nothing is traditional or sacred anymore.

So is Slaf going to make the team? Hughes said he's been a bit underwhelming in the preseason games despite looking great in the rookie ones.

Maybe half a year in Laval to get used to the speed/rink size?

- BINGO!

yes, and to give time to Hughes to trade the scrap. they have 15 forwards with NHL contracts!! not counting Slafkovsky

I'm kinda disappointed they did it, but understand why at the same time.

The Canadiens were the most Covid impacted franchise in the league by a mile (forced to play without fans in the stands much longer than everywhere else, and even when they were allowed to have fans back, it dragged on for a long time with a limited number).

Montreal being one of the franchises being milked by the league through revenue sharing for those moribund franchises in the south, you can bet that Molson will take any source of revenue available to make up for lost income during the last 2 seasons.

but they generate so much revenue and have ticket prices so insanely high that I doubt it was necessary to resort to that kind of thing. I won't be losing any sleep over it but I do find it's rather sad and pathetic.

I'm not saying I pity them.

I just understand the move. I mean, knowing Molson, can't say I'm floored by the news.

yeah it isn't surprising for sure... I guess if it meant that ticket prices would become more reasonable I'd be ok with it but god knows that sure as (frank) ain't happening.

no, I went to a playoff game at the Bell once, ironically in the "Molson Ex" section, and despite having arguably the worst seats there it was still insanely expensive. but it's more about giving low-income (or even average income) families the chance to go see games. it's far from being accessible to everyone, while Molson and groupe CH make a poop ton of profit.

Not a fan, never will be a fan, of the ads.

I will say this: At least the Leafs got a partner with a logo that does not hideously detract from their jerseys. If someone wants to partner with you that bad, force them to come up with a design that can be integrated, rather than a clashing piece of poop the RBC patch looks like on the Habs jersey.

And if they do not want to change their logo, I am sure someone else will step up with the same money and do it properly.

He has looked pretty decent, but you can see the areas he needs development in... was slow and tentative in a game, which costs the Habs a goal.

The offensive creativity is there, and his positioning seems solid.

Been working hard on his face offs, and it showed last game... will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.

speaking of which, the deal wasn't made public but it must be quite a gigantic number to have your logo on the habs jersey...

what's the logo on the leafs' jersey anyway..?

Simple blue on the white jersey and white on the blue jersey

And yeah, gotta be more than a few million dollars to get that poop logo on the Habs jersey.

Apparently the logo for the Habs' road jersey is still for sale. I'm sure they will find another company who's colours will totally clash with the white jersey

ohhhh... all of a sudden Karine's joke about leafs players having their face on milk cartons during the playoffs cuz they went missing becomes much more funnier...
