so, many teams are over the cap. which one will waive a RD?
nothing really interesting tbh - fidopro
Dreger and other hockey talking heads are saying that "surprising" players could be put on waivers because of the cap, we'll see what happens... |

the thing is, Habs have no cap space. if they claim a dman, they'll have to waive a forward to make room.
so waive Armia or Byron to claim a RD?
seems unlikely. |

this management team seems to be creative and likes to think outside the box, they might find ways to create space if needed. |

trading a forward (or 2!) for a dman seems way more likely. they still have some time. |

I guess, although they don't have a ton of interesting forwards to trade way, most are either keepers or are just making too much money for what they bring. but again, they could always get creative... |

well, they could always trade a crap forward for a crap dman. that's certainly the most likely scenario lol |

apparently Jeff Petry was saying the difference in PIT is that they're going for the cup, they don't want to just make the playoffs.
I get that, but it kind of (frank)ing helps when you have guys like Crosby, Malkin and Letang on the roster lol. |

oh I don't mind the fall either, the foliage is nice, and the weather isn't all that bad. but it's also a precursor to a poop ton of snow, and -20F temperatures... |

i get it. it's been quite a few years since we've had a winter where it snowed a lot but i do remember the snow fatigue when storms would come before the old one melted over and over. snow on the ground for 6 weeks straight does suck. it definitely gets old after a while. |
