Doesn't matter Pete. We are gunning for another high pick.

I'm trying to come to terms with that..

Apparently some Russian KHL players are starting to get subpoenas to go to war...
- stinger67

Good, the NHL players should get one too..

tks Karine,
I did enjoy Dach. nice to have a big center.
some other kids did pretty well too.
I still dont see what Norlinder could bring to the table. it's early, but pretty sure he won't make me change my mind.

Yeah i dont think he’s even in the running tbh. As for Dach, it was an ok game but he really doesnt play like a guy who’s 6”4’ not yet anyways…it’s early though one preseason game doesnt define a player

In 18 months, we were in denial hoping beyond hope that Norlinder would be one of the answers on defence to him not even really being in the picture anymore.

Crazy turn-around at the depth prospects on defence we now have.

Matheson had a pretty good game last night. Don't think we'll miss Petry if he keeps playing like this.
- BashCH

This. Awsome skater, I didn't see him take one bad decision in the whole night. In the circumstances, I think it's a good trade.

Well yeah, we were hoping all these flashes he showed in Europe would translate to something in North America.

But I'd be very surprised if he ends up being an NHL player.

About NHL players being forced to go to war. Not their fault their PM is a nutjob.

If only they were balanced out by some amazing offensive talent.

But we don't see it all that much either.

My angle was maybe it would shed some more light on how stupid the whole (frank)ing thing is..

Send Ovi to the front-lines and then see how long it takes for Putin to fall out a window.

Still shaking my head at "melted Hulk Hogan" calling a coach's challenge in a preseason game

Would have been a good opportunity for the teams to practice OT

Of the little I saw of the game, I saw that.

It wasn't even close, that guy was way offside.

Preseason or not, it's still a hockey game with the same rules.

I don't see why he shouldn't have used his challenge to be honest.

Agreed, preseason or not, you do everything you can to win.
