Why and how is there a connection through this? If training camps are to fight for rosters spots, even if only a few are available than regardless of draft position the player showing the most promise stays up.

Internal competition is healthy and it’s Adams job to create that, which includes tough/strong decision making.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in a game or 3. Get him assimilated to the actual NHL level of play. Then he knows where to be when hes back next year of at the end of the season.
