Because 3 months ago this team wasn't ready to make a splash by some people's account. It's a evaluation year- money needs to be saved for are own- we need to see what are players can do. But all of a sudden we are ready to do it and give up are 1st and multiple pieces to get it done. When we could have gotten a very good player at probably half of what it will cost now. And yes there's a chance Debrincat walks, but there's also a chance he signs or you recoup atleast a 1st and prospect.

The question then becomes for each, what is too stiff?

Let's face it, The Stars likely resign him and make another move as necessary.

Debrincat, NO CHANCE of a deal at the time of the trade. Just cant extend 2 years out.
Robertson, you dont make the deal without a long term deal in place...that option exists since he is a RFA in need of a new deal.

Love this line, couple hard workers with a play maker. Krebs and Cozens could switch positions on that line too if the playmaking/goal scoring is more beneficial there.

I think that last year with the injury Olofsson improved his game in other ways. He's not a defensive black hole anymore.

He's definitely not a world beater though. I'm one of the first to say Olofsson got significantly better away form the puck last year because of the wrist injury.

I dont expect these lines to stay the same but,

Is he or Tage the best defensive player on that line? Neither of those 2 should be your best defensive player on any line. IMo. But you can make it work with mostly offensive zone starts.

Quinn probably is, that's a part of his game he improved in the AHL playoffs. Know he just has to get stronger and not taken away by bigger players
