I can only speak for when I did it, but I was a CBP officer. I worked Prior Aviation almost all 2010. The Sabres - and all NHL teams - flew charters into and out of Prior. This was very well known. There was always about two dozen people when the Penguins were in town waiting for their bus after a game as they walked off it and into Prior Aviation. I have to say, Sid was always gracious to fans and signed most of their stuff.

When did they stop using Prior for charters? Covid?

Also, beyond question, Henrik Lundqvist and Ilya Kovalchuk were the best dressed NHLers I saw come through. Both of them dressed like they were on Madison Avenue. Most other guys looked like one of us dressed for a nice occasion.

Charter companies aren't perfect either. For any number of reasons the plane can't fly. There aren't always extras just laying around. On and on and on down the line.
I don't envy the guy that has to deal with that poopstorm.

Oh I get that and understand. But you still had 2yrs to try and probably get a decent haul back if he didn't sign. I really have no problem going and getting Robertson (I Doubt), I just find it funny how people think it's alright now.

It would be disappointing if the Sabres are not trying to get Robertson. I don’t know what happens behind the scenes but I think Buffalo really missed out this off-season on some great opportunities.

2003 Eastern Conference Finals game 7

The devil's were in Ottawa and they had bus issues and in the end had to travel to the arena on a school bus and there were train issues in Ottawa which delayed them and was a whole mess


I am sure a 4hr coach trip isn't the worst thing in the world
