You keep referencing DeBrincat as a direct comparable, but it is not as the number of years of team control are totally different, plus DeBrincat can ARB his way to UFA status after this season, which Robertson cannot.

Plus, Robertson has 5 years of team control left, not 4.

Robertson is an awesome player. He'll likely get similar to Tkachuk or Eichel in a trade. I don't believe we're in a position to pay that price. It puts us in a position where we have one good player and the team still sucks because there's no good players around him. Ex; Eichel
