Well I mean they had Eichel and Skinner and Tage, but outside of that, you're not using Krebs, Kulich, Quinn and another prospect to acquire a guy who's very similar to Debrincat where Ottawa used 1,2,3 picks to acquire him. Rob is worth more, but he's not 4 developed/ing prospects more.

There are people on this thread who really undervalue Robertson or really overvalue unproven talent.

This trade requires sacrificing developed roster talent and futures. Nothing Adams has actually pulled off is even remotely in the relm of this scenario.

He doesn't have the choice, and I will say this: these players do love being here. I've seen to many smiles on their faces at too many different events to not believe it. You put a 23 year old goal scorer into this group and he'll love being here after a month too.

Now, when the state tax bill comes he might crap his pants at the difference in NY and TX.

The entier NHL values unproven talent more than it should.

Hence every trade including a "Late first" and everyone saying how great a deal trade X was.

I'm saying that it's not reasonable, nor will Adams provide, 4 young players (not picks) of that magnitude for Jason Robertson

It's tough to learn a lot of these preseason games. Quinn and Peterka need to have strong showings though.

Botterill made a "strong offer" for Florida Panthers center Vincent Trocheck

I get Adams wants to develop his own guys but I mean this move is right up the gut for what this team is aiming for. Like right (frank)ing there. Use the currency, there are a ton of quality young forwards in the org.

The chances of those prospects truing out to be Robertson level are very low.

Yeah they can, but what changed with the Sabres over the last 3 months. Yes we drafted well, but we already had the number 1 ranked prospect pool.

I see your point, could be a long season.

17-12 though for Anderson last year. Possibly playoff bound over a full season.

Might be one of the most impressive win loss record by any nhl goalie last year.
