The Canadian government is dropping its COVID-19 border measures for all travelers entering the country, regardless of citizenship, Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos announced Monday. Under the new measures, which will take effect Saturday, travelers will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or wear face masks on planes and trains.

Also Canadian Govt has announced the world is round and not flat...

Honestly, Im ok with keeping the non-vaxxed out.
But back to hockey/Baseball talk.
My gut tells me, Samsonov will have a great year.

As much as I think they're wrong, I can at least understand people not wanting a vaccine. it's injecting something into your body

I'll never understand why people get so upset about masks. it's pretty harmless.

I'm always going to wear a mask on transit or planes from now on. Not getting a cold or flu ever is great. Gonna get my flu shot and bivalent covid dose asap too. They're outstanding.

I just call it the Dome, and the rink on Bay Street I don't even know what that's called anymore. I wish Big Milk bought that too so it was called the Milk Centre.

I guess you can go full Letterkenny/hockey dude lingo and just call it "The Barn" now.

I.e. - "Hey Zez, you going down to the Barn tonight to watch the big tilly between the Leafs and the Habs? I'm hoping that Matthews goes top chedder, bar downski and the Habs get so mad that there is a full on donnybrook and we can see Curtis Douglas thow the mitts".

How many rounds do they have to win?
- Canada Cup

Im thinking one. - 3 years.
Two or more - 5 years
Outside of Dubas's initial four scoring lines mentality (which he has now changed thankfully) a couple of questionable contracts, NMC/NTC's hand out and ugh trade here or there (which every single GM has). I feel Dubie has done a decent job, has had some great signings and trades.

I find a lot people do not wear their mask properly. The mask is suppose to go over your nose and not under your nose.
it is what it is.

Ok folks someone shared the gov't mandate around travel is being lifted - we are all now informed.

Let's not now spend time commenting on it here so we don't end up with the unfortuate name calling etc. that sometimes comes from it when there are opposing views and opinions.

Thx

By that time, you’ll have these. You can even pick up some new ones after you put your groceries away!

Those masks would be better without the words on them. The facial expressions are enough.

I don’t see giving him three years which makes him a bit of a lame duck as Marner’s contract comes up. If they re-sign him it should be for at least for to get through retooling Matthews, Marner, etc. One of the things I like about him is that he hasn’t tried for fixes to save his job and (frank) the team like Holland with big contacts to Hyman, Nuge, Kane and even Campbell.

Wonder if the new policy makes trades for some players more intriguing... I'm looking at you Bertuzzi. Not sure there were others that drew a lot of interest but their vax status made them unlikely to be dealt.

Everything’s good - had a bit of a family gathering this weekend, which was nice. Very busy with work, but that’s the status quo these days.

3 years will get Dubas through resigning AM, MM, and JT for 1m...but it is just shy him being around to sign McDavid.
He'll have to earn another extension for that.
