Been wanting the Leafs to get Jarnkrok for years.

I think he will be a great signing.

and if he sucks at 34 for his last year you trade the contract pretty easily.

I do things like that for a number of things:

- Neighbours
- HB posters
- Things to do in Denver when I'm dead

and a few other things

Strategically ignoring poop is an under appreciated art. It’s amazing how easily some people lose their poop even when not dead in Denver

Matthews is going to be Jarnrok’s Hyman. Let me rephrase that. I liked the way Matthews went into the corner to dig out the puck for Jarnrok just like Hyman used to for Matthews.

Yeah I am not sure if that will work out

Jarnkrok probably scores more over Malgin next to Willy though.

The Malgun had a nice game and helped his cause but he’s a long way from a lock. One takeaway is that enough guys are looking good to make Kerfoot a bit more tradeable. Didn’t really notice Kerfoot

Yeah Kerfoot won't last long unless the injuries pile up.

Malgin is a wild card, could prove he is a regular or could go back to Switzerland. He is 25 and the last time played in the NHL he was 22/23...Totally possible he has gotten better over the last few years.

If someone can prove themselves in camp and become a viable option on Tavares' left wing, then having Kerfoot center the 3rd line makes for a very solid middle. Matthews, Tavares, Kerfoot, Kampf.

If a 2LW is found, then the only way I'd like to see Kerfoot traded rather than center line 3, would be in a package along with Sandin + to get a solid upgrade on RD... Like a Chychrun perhaps?

Mikheyev injured in first preseason game. Did not return to game. Guy cannot catch a break...or can very well. One of those.

Its the 1st two preseason games, i dont put too much stock into them for how people played.
But unless Kerfoot is traded or injured, he will be in the line up everyday for the reg season.

I think he will be a good addition for sure, a nice addition to the 3rd line who should be able to move up in a pinch.

For players who are definitely on the team, the first few games don’t mean much at all. They’re tuning up. That’s not true for Clifford or others trying to make the team. They’re only going to get a few games.

I didn’t realize that the question about lack of hitting from the Leafs was a troll when I responded. I checked the numbers and it seemed like a legitimate point.

Ya the Jays need to finish this week above .500.
Hope judge doesnt break the AL homerun record in Toronto...but I guess its only the AL record...I doubt he breaks the mlb record.
Honestly I hope he doesnt break either....but its looking like the AL one is pretty much in the bag.

I can't even watch preseason. Bring on the season.

I notice the Maple Leafs do a Cali and Vegas trip early this season, and it looks like a couple games are shifted for Eastern time zone television. Sweet.

The numbers by Sosa, McGwire and Bonds are kinda tainted though, no? So ridiculous that Bonds hit 73 at age 36. How was that supposed to be believable.

Yep and every year players make the team or don’t make the based, in part, on their performance in these games.

There are 13 players looking for 6 spots on the 3rd and 4th lines. Maybe 9 or so have real shots. A few guys played well and helped themselves. I few didn’t help themselves and don’t have that many games left.

Same thing for guys trying to find spots on the top lines.

I agree that preseason doesn’t mean much evaluating the team as a whole. I’ve sat in the stands watching my kid try out for teams often enough to know that they matter for a lot of players.

I just call it the Dome, and the rink on Bay Street I don't even know what that's called anymore. I wish Big Milk bought that too so it was called the Milk Centre.

wouldn't it make more sense if the hockey season started early to mid september, instead of ending in June? then regular season would end in like late march, early april. seems like a good time to end regular season. and cup awarded in early - mid may in a normal year. still a bit late but at least they're not awardnign the cup in the summer anymore.

Let's get this season started.
