Frost-

Tied for most scoring chances, skill assist, did well as QB on pp. used his body better. Needs to work on face offs more, and being a different maker on the reg.

Overall, not bad game #1, still left wanting more but that is due to his skill level. Let’s hope he has a great camp

This is a decent first game and yet “he was just out there”. I don’t understand what the problem is…

No worries, CF has has this team prepared for anything. Not like he’d go into a season without a good backup.

Can Atkinson held out today too.

I guess your expectations of him are rather muted. I expect him to be a major factor on the offensive end when he is playing against the other team's scrubs. I'm not going to dwell on it that much cause it's only one preseason game, but if he is ever going to be a top 6 forward in the NHL he needs to be better than last night against a bunch of scrubs. We just have differing opinions on him. I don't think he'll ever be a top 6 forward in the NHL and I hope I'm proven wrong (although that doesn't seem to happen very often).

Frost last night:

* Nifty assist on N. Cates PPG. Cates and Allison after the game were marveling at his ability to distribute.

* 20-plus minutes of ice time, including large scale PK time.

* Showed increased willingness to shoot.

* Two takeaways.

* Won 60% of his faceoffs.

* Erased his late icing with a vital shot block.

* Was praised by Laperriere after the game last night and, in private conversation, by the various Flyers PPL at the FTC today. They all said it was a strong starting point to preseason for him.

His game wasn't spotless. There were a few things he needs to clean up. But "meh" is woefully off base to the point of being laughable.

12 for 20 on faceoffs last night. I'd take 60% any night.

Yeah I was guessing closer to 50 but only scanned the game. He lost a few down the stretch, I like to see him win.

I think he should feel pretty good about himself. I think Tippett better bury a couple, with Coots out i could see them moving Frost up and I think Frost is good for Tippett

Sorry, they they don't track faceoffs by "doesn't count because it was a lesser opponent in the circle."

But I did track this: he was 9 for 12 on strong side draws and 3 for 8 from the right circle. That's an area he knows he can improve.

Where was it said or implied they do not count ? Was asking a legit question. No need to get all salty.

Point wise what is a successful season for Frost?
