Saw most of game 1, none of game 2
How’d it go?

(Was travelling for kids hockey)

Game 2 seemed to be a faster tempo. Looked pretty good as was up 2-0 but then switched our goalie and Ottawa came storming back and ended up 4-2 Sens. Felt like we outplayed them really but wasn't as impressed overall with the guys as I was in the first game outside of the big three up front in Bunting - Matthews - Jarnkrok.Samsonov looked pretty good though

First pre-season game still! We shall see how Robertson does as time goes on.

I do agree it is early but also think Robertson really needed to come in and showcase himself. I dont think he really did a good job of it here. He has to step it up next chance really or he could find himself outplayed and out of consideration. Just a bit surprised he didn't show himself a bit better was all. Dont think he is getting cut by any means after one game but he didnt help himself either

I was not expecting much from Motte but his game was really solid.

Not getting injured is the only thing anyone should be concerned with.

That and making the team. Jarnrok and the Malgun both looked way more top-sixish. Little Nickie’s line wasn’t really clicking but he looked kind of lost
