Umm... I'll trade our last three years with Vegas any day of the week. Any of those goalies would have made us competitive last season. There's been plenty of goalies over the last 18 months who would have made the Sabres much better.

Amen. There's a fundamentally flawed assumption to the argument for all of this patience: that is that the Sabres will immediately run to Cup. Something they've not done in their 50+ years. Sure would be nice to put a series or two on Dahlin, Vic, Cozens, etc. Dahlin looks like a guy to me who hates losing. That sort of player doesn't re up with the Sabres. If we don't have a competitive team this year, get ready for him to bolt.
