no idea how good he will be, but I'm puzzled why they would do this. History on kid isn't good and seems the signing isn't compensating the negative backlash..

just seems odd to me

What in the holy (frank) is this front office thinking right now? The juices are flowing and they go out and do this?

Oof …. Talk about putting the organization in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. I don’t care how old this kid was when he did what he did, bullying somebody who is disabled is as low as it gets. Takes a person who is pure evil.

What a stain on an otherwise awesome season thus far.

Yeah real scumbag stuff. Kid will have this stuck on him forever but maybe he can make amends and everyone can move on

And for sure with them playing in Toronto tomorrow, players are going to be asked about this.. has taken away from what is a epic start

Reading the leadership group asked why do this; not sure they are happy..

Yeah who knows what his attitude is or what has been done. Hopefully a lot of therapy. Thats some serial killer weird poop like killing animals.

I feel for the family for sure but also don’t know much about it.
Maybe the family is a liberal loon bunch and milking it.

As far as punishment he got a huge embarrassment and draft rescinded and then sat out a year so it’s not like he got away with anything. Wait and see approach I guess. Pretty bad distraction, hopefully it is just a blip

at this point i dont really care about the player...its the damage to the Bruins reputation.

reading more on this this morning, it seems to me ( I could be wrong) that Sweeney/Neely did not do their homework on this and the organization did not contemplate the backlash. The goodwill they have built up by their charity work has been damaged.

Just a stupid, unnecessary decision...

Bettman said Miller is not eligible for the #nhl ... and is not sure he ever will be. Added the league was not consulted before #bruins signed him.

So the players do not like it, , didn’t check with the league to see if the kid could even play, didn’t reach out to victims family and sent the captain to try to explain it.
oh and Sweeney wasnt sure either this was the good thing

unbelievable...what a debacle

Miller has the only Black agent in the NHL and is on the NHL diversity committee. That says something.. this blowback is a lot of group think bullpoop. The kid was a scumbag and maybe can be rehabilitated. What you do as a kid doesn’t mean a life sentence. The more pushback I hear from the liberal ass media types the more I am up for a second chance rehab project. He sat out a year. He’s on a short leash.

Issue is the poop kept going on..many to blame here such as parents, school etc, but why reach on a guy that probably won't even play in the nhl plus gave him a max AHL contract? Bizarre...

As I said before, it's about the Bruins reputation as I don't give a f*** about the player.

I do agree that the liberal media and politicians are making these days ridiculous...meltdown on a Trump tweet...love that Musk is pissing off the left

He’s very good, best player in the ushl after being suspended for a year. 100% the bruins are looking at the talent and think he is that guy. I think the agent (who is black) was selling them and they took a risk. He was out a year and had the draft rights rescinded and lost some money. What he did was horrible and I’m sure he’s been reminded daily for years. I dunno I’m a wait and see guy.

BOSTON - Bruins President Cam Neely announced today, November 6, that the Boston Bruins will part ways with Mitchell Miller.

Statement from Bruins President Cam Neely:

"Today the Boston Bruins have decided to part ways with Mitchell Miller, effective immediately.

The decision to sign this young man was made after careful consideration of the facts as we were aware of them: that at 14-years-old he made a poor decision that led to a juvenile conviction. We understood this to be an isolated incident and that he had taken meaningful action to reform and was committed to ongoing personal development. Based on that understanding we offered him a contract.

Based on new information, we believe it is the best decision at this time to rescind the opportunity for Mitchell Miller to represent the Boston Bruins. We hope that he continues to work with professionals and programs to further his education and personal growth.

We owe it to our fans, players, staff, partners and community to make sure that our practices and protocols are in keeping with the ethos that we demand from ourselves and as an organization. As such, we will be reevaluating our internal processes for vetting individuals who wish to earn the privilege of playing in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins.

We are sorry that this decision has overshadowed the incredible work the members of our organization do to support diversity and inclusion efforts. We will continue to stand against bullying and racism in all of its forms.

To Isaiah and his family, my deepest apologies if this signing made you and other victims feel unseen and unheard. We apologize for the deep hurt and impact we have caused.

Finally, as a father, I think there is a lesson to be learned here for other young people. Be mindful of careless behaviors and going with the group mentality of hurting others. The repercussions can be felt for a lifetime."

Reilly on waivers again due to Chucky McAvoy’s rumored return tomorrow. If he clears, they will need to move Forbort to the LTIR to be cap compliant. If he’s claimed, they just squeak in under the cap.

Logjam …. They need to move a body out without taking back cap space.

Kinkaid sent back to Providence today, would assume that means Swayman is ready.

Goaltender prospect DiPietro from the Studnicka trade was on loan to another club, assigned to Providence today. Would assume that means Bussi (who was very good) goes back to Maine. We are deep between the pipes right now.

Bruins reportedly shopping Reilly, he didn’t play in Providence last weekend. Ottawa a possibility although it’s likely going to cost us to get a team to take on that extra year in his contract next year.

Remarkable start to the year. Can't remember if it was '09-'10 or 11-12 when the B' s had twice as many gf than ga in (frank)ing January, one of the craziest stats I'd ever seen. Well it's early but that's where they are. Just an insane start

No, but they may as well just pay him and get it over with. If they’re not going to, somebody else will and I’d rather have him locked up than watch him play somewhere else.

Just saw Avs game on replay. Just shaking my head at how good they've been. Another fun Bruins stat: Leading the league in goals with only Pasta in the top EIGHTY in scoring

Remember this little weirdo garden gnome? Slainte! He and “Hacks with Haggs” have some website together and are total wackjob Bluanon libtards that are trying to conjure up wokeness everywhere. They’re probably part of the rainbow coalition trying to get into the B’s “community”. Someday soon there will be a study of the lasting effects of TDS and what it did to people. This guy is a step away from being Keith Oberman.. Sad!

Hahaha he’s an angry little dwarf isn’t he? Pathetic. Haven’t heard his name in years. And “Haggs” blocked me a decade ago

TDS has ruined a lot of lives, it’s been an honor and a pleasure watching the weak spin completely out of control

Slainte! and Let’s go Brandon!
