The reality is you don't need to be in great shape to play certain positions in baseball, its that simple.

Ortiz was a great hitter to watch.

As for Kirk, he shows that a 5 foot nothing guy can be a baseball player, and a good one.

makes sense. i mean, how many games did they have exclusive access to? 10? 15? I can't imagine there were many subscribers. That's a total of like 30 hours in an entire season that they had exclusive rights to.

I like it because if I missed the game, the day after Leafs TV would play it.
The hard part about that is not find out the score before you watched the game.

Leafs TV? I’m pretty sure they didn’t have exclusive access to any games any more. They showed games the next day. They might have broadcast training camp stuff. MLSE will just make content available digitally

Don't forget Brett taking $1.1M for motivational speeches - that he never gave.

The scary thing is these moves may not have actually been illegal - the legislation was twisted and bent by Republicans to cover a ridiculously broad swath - anything that encouraged people to rise above poverty.

So funding a volleyball stadium (not just a court) could inspire kids to go to university - so technically not illegal.
