When they use that one on a controlled-possession PP I didn't mind it too much. It's the camera physically moving from end to end along the side that I can't take.

Unfortunately I doubt this. Streaming services and a la carte entertainment seem to be where everything is moving. Why charge a flat rate for a bunch of content when they can all nickel and dime everyone to death?
ESPN+ is part of the Disney umbrella and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Curious what makes you think that? Streaming provides so much additional content at arguably better prices. Although it does get frustrating to need 4-5-6 subscriptions, sometimes only signing up for 1 show or 1 sport on each. IMO, cable TV will have to evolve and decrease prices to stay relevant. For me personally, it doesn’t make much sense to have cable anymore other than having MSG network. Which, if that’s the only way for me to watch the Rangers I’ll happily pay it

My father is/was using Fubo TV which is the only service that appears to offer MSG.
It is a little delayed but otherwise works OK. Issue is I believe the price went up and it isn't really worth it over cable. While cable needs to up its game, I definitely like being able to just turn the tv on and tune it to MSG over using an annoying app that may or may not crash/have problems etc.

It really depends on your household. You really do not save that much $$$ at all and have to deal with download speeds to watch anything. Internet for most comes from a cable provider; it costs more when you get it by itself (50 - 75% more). If you have to subscribe to more than two streaming services, you are paying about what the cost of cable is. Also keep in mind these streaming services are now adding a "+" service to their name...making it more expensive (while taking some channels away from their basic service).
Unless you were someone that paid $300 for cable/internet, then streaming services doesn't make sense. Don't get me wrong, I hate paying $180 a month for FIOS, but my family have different interests which would require at least three streaming services to buy (FUBO for MSG and other sports, HBO Max for HBO, Cartoon Network, etc., and at least one other service that gets something other than sports). You spend nearly $100 for internet (by itself) and another $100 on just a few streaming services. It doesn't save much (or you spend more) if your home has more than one interest of entertainment.

I may look into that. May wife likes those Real Housewives shows and award shows (for some reason) so would need to accommodate her. Personally only watch hockey, golf, football on cable. ESPN+ has been great other than blacking out Rangers games. Also btw, if you’re looking for a good show try The Terminal List on Prime. It’s pretty (frank)ing badass.

I dumped my cable TV back in the winter and went to a few streaming subscriptions and got a couple Firesticks. Signed up for a "legal" FireTV (or whatever they call it) subscription that gets me a ridiculous amount of channels from around the world for $12/month. You may get a lot of channels, but do you get the channels you want? MSG? MGS2, +, 2+(for Rangers and Knicks)...If it has everything you wand/need, then you are super lucky. Now, how much do you pay for internet? What speed? Does anyone in the house stream on devices for things like YouTube, Instagram, etc? Anyone a gamer (PS, Xbox)?

Pay-per-view channels for UFC/Boxing, etc. Plus, more I haven't explored yet.
I looked at discount ISP options, but their speeds were much slower than my old cable provider (180 Mbps), so I stayed with them at the unfortunate rate of ~$80/month (unlimited bandwith). But, before cancelling cable TV and landline phone I was paying them >$240/month.
Now, I have infinitely more options and am still saving a little.
No gamers in the house, but I use YouTube a lot for music and situational educational videos.

$240 + a month is crazy. That's worth getting out of. Good to see it worked for you. With all the different in entertainment tastes in my house and three gamers, I would need multiple streaming services and would have to keep my gigabyte speed internet. I would not save any money.
