You’re missing the point and I’m tired of making so, ok. - Canada Cup
Youre honestly arent making a point
But thats fun.
80 -90pts consistently per year or he will be overpaid.

You’re making many assumptions in your scenario. - TurdFergeson
Well first of all, congratulations on defining a scenario.
And yes, I’ve made an assumption. The cap is expected to go up a million or two a year for two or three years until escrow is repaid after which it will jump big time. That means he’d get a lot more signing in 3 or 4 years unless he craps out (I assume he doesn’t) and the cost of an $8M contract to the Sens is a lot less.
I also assume it’s just more fun to ridicule everything the Sens do. |

It will probably turn out like everyone else’s contract that sign 8 years as young stud.
First couple years they’re overpaid and everyone is laughing at their contracts.
Then midway through your like alright they are starting to look like they’re worth it.
The end they’re outperforming their contract and will get a raise on the next one. - bryant
Probably right. It's always a tough call for the player. Take the reasonable/big pay day or wait a year, have a good year and bet on yourself?
Paid well for Marner with his 3rd year. Stutz gets more if he waits and is a PPG guy next year. Lots of guys take the early pay day though. Also it slots him in the same as Brady so makes some sense that that was maybe a ceiling for the team.
Zegras and Caulfield still eligible....betting on themselves? |

Do you honestly not understand how the value of $8M decreases when the cap significantly increases? |

Aarons banhammer in 3...2 - 21peter
I'll save it for something better. Start of the season is soon and I'm sure there's plenty of posts to ban people for then.

Started feeling like poop around 3 pm. Have been in bed since.
Wife agreed to take our younger daughter to hockey practice.
I decided to take a marathon shower to try to feel better (allergy season sucks).
Came out of the bathroom, and noticed my daughter had made me a bowl of macaroni and cheese and left it on my bedside table.
Life is good. |

Gilles was a pure bred like Senna was. Jacques was a technician driving cars that didn't require the same level of mojo drivers before them needed. Different era, cars are completely different now. |

I lost count of how many people look at me either with a disapproving look or a full on "Cheech and Chong" look and say "your nickname is Cush?". One of those 2 groups then breaks into a Beavis and Butt Head laugh usually......
I have to explain that it's part of my last name.
A long time ago (not in a glaxy far far away but in a time when the devils lettuce was still illegal in Canada) I got a personalized plate with a leaf logo that was a short form for blue and white - BLUNWT.
Care to guess what the Cheech and Chong crowd saw when then looked at the plate? |

Alex Manoah was throwing darts last night, man he was good.
Jays won despite the terrible umpiring again......MLB just needs to get rid of the home plate umpire for balls and strikes it's clear now that they are terrible at it. I'm sure it's no worse than it was 20,30 or 40 years ago or longer but now that we have technology that can get it right 100% of the time and we all see when it's wrong it's time.
