That's about as on-the-nose as getting Molson 67 to sponsor them.

Anyone else scared that this is the actual team they are going to ice this year?

Molson 67 is not only named Leaf appropriate, it's just like the Leafs:

- It has no enjoyable content
- It's a depressant
- It's small bodied
- The more of it you have, the more piss it takes out of you

So about 7-8 years ago, I was regularly working out and had lost a bunch of weight, but was going to a baseball tournament (it's basically a big drink-up that starts at 8AM and ends sometime after 8PM). I brought along 12 Molson 67s, and did have some coffee and Bailey's early in the morning. Got into the beer around noon.

At 1AM, after a bunch of the team had retired back to a teammate's place, he brought out the breathalizer. I'd run out of beer about an hour or two before, and hadn't been drinking. My friends were blowing crazy high numbers - and I blew a 0.0. I did it three times, including with other people doing in-between because we were all stunned. 0.0. That's the magic of Molson 67.

That was kinda' funny, as was the guy who replied the Oilers should also have the Leafs as their sponsor as they ahve so many former Leafs on the team.

The real ? is how with the Coyotes fit the logo's of almost every other team in the NHL on their jersey since they are sponsored by the rest of the league.

Literal months overdue in Holl's all world useless ass being traded. It's actually (frank)ing insane he's still on this roster.

Maybe they change the logo every game for the team they're facing?

The only tangible differences here are that possibly - POSSIBLY and I am now sincerely doubting it - they could move out Kerfoot & Holl and bring in Rodrigues and Subban. There would be cap space created, but the team wouldn't ostensibly be much different than it is right now:

Bunting - Matthews - Marner (edited for no reason. Don't read the next two posts)
(Kerfoot) - Tavares - Nylander
Engvall - Kampf - Jarnkrok
Anderson - Gaudette - Aube-Kubel

Rielly - Brodie
Giordano - Liljegren
Muzzin - (Holl)
Sandin

Murray
Samsonov

I mean, I think there are improvements in that bottom 6, and there are growth improvements in the top-6. The D should be okay, but Gio and Muzzin are older and Muzzin in particular is prone to breaking down - but perhaps he moves past some of that. The Muzzin who played against Tampa was pretty solid, so we can hope we get that guy back.

Even if the gamble on Murray and Samsonov doesn't pan out, they are better than Kallgren or Mrazek - who were both abysmal (.888%) and managed a .667 winning percentage behind this team (8-4 and 12-6) - so you'd still be looking at a 109pt season if nothing improved. I think the goaltending is going to at least resemble Campbell, and I think some of the bottom-6 improvements will help keep more pucks out of our net.

the d is a little better overall id think, starting last season it was Dermott, Sandin and unknown liljgren as the 5/6/7. with Gio and a year improved lily the D is better off.

ill ignore possible injuries and Sandin unsigned for now

He's being paid 800K for this year and next, so nobody should be.

It's not so much about the money (which, obviously, has no risk involved but the fact he's expected to play as a top 4 defenseman while being 38 years old.

This being said, he looked quite good in his time in Toronto last year.
