Trade him to the Islanders please. - Wildschwein
All good if Dobson is coming back.
But really what does Lou want to fill a new building an entertaining American center like JTM or get the job done RHD?
Can’t have both and Barzal you know. |

Yeah… that ain’t happening.
The whole point of acquiring Miller is to take a run at the Cup. And that ain’t gonna happen without Dobson.
And as for the latter, of course they can. Varlamov’s deal ends after this season, Beauvillier would almost certainly be heading your way, and a Josh Bailey buyout next year would provide the Isles with an additional 2.5 million in wiggle room.
The money would be tight, but it can be done. |

Probably why he hasn't been dealt yet. No point in taking a low ball offer this soon.

You’d certainly be getting more than Beauvillier.
An extended Miller surely would garner a 2023 1st, amongst other assets. |

What say we trade JTM with 50% retained and Hoglander for Dobson straight up

Islanders and cup run …? Sorry you guys missed your window. But hey don’t worry keep Dobson.
Trading for JTM is about business. New building need to make it entertaining. But if you don’t pay in a trade then forget it.
There are other teams that can offer more. If not hey Canucks rather sign JTM then get scraps.

I know they are federal...lol
A while now. A trip out of Tofino in 2009. It's one of the things I had to give up because of so many past concussions. I thought I was starting to develop motion sickness at around 30 years old. I had an iron gut before that but started losing control of everything out there. Doctors thought motion sickness at first but other things contradicted it. Same with vertigo and blood pressure. After some tests it was decided that my problems were most likely concussion related.
I could handle the roughest of seas when I was younger. Now once land is miles off, it's instant fatigue, loss of vision and balance then the vomiting followed by convulsions. It disappears the moment I get close to shore and can see land. Out on the water, my brain processing the vision of waves and riffles are the problem, not the movement of the boat. I can get the same thing(to a lesser degree) looking down at rushing water too long in a river especially on a horse... or the forest quickly passing by when I'm a passenger in a vehicle or scrolling a page on my lap top too quickly.... same with rolling movie credits. Motion doesn't bother me at all actually. - boonerbuck

There has been all sorts of reporting about who’s in play for a trade. Myers and JTM has come up from different sources.
Now we are hearing Canucks interested in Rodrigues and Dehan UFAs. Well this makes sense if Canucks trade out players.

Two words for you:

To go a step further, the islanders wouldn’t trade Dobson for any of our players. Quinn? Nope. Elias? Nope. For a pending UFA and a 4th line Smurf? GTFO |

Meh,
They should be able to move each player in the 2nd half of the deal, especially with retention if that's what's required.
If I were the a Flames fan i'd be happy with the moves. They're in a good position to stay atop the division and with some internal growth could be contenders for awhile.
I wonder what a $7M contract will look like in 5 years. Also, I have no idea how the ramifications are in the short term. |

Yeah having a cup sucks where OV said they wouldn't have won without him.
Beat Minny, STL and took Vegas to 7 with Beagle in the lineup. Give us your 4th line recommendations...
 - LordHumungous
This is where you are absolutely clueless.
Overpaying a 4th line C to stay for 4 years on a bottom 5 team is absurd. Compare his stats to this list.
https://www.thesportster....nce-the-2004-05-lockout/s
Beagle was a much better player before he ever won the cup, he just played on a better team.
Leadership? Could have given the twins a 1 year deal. |

Yeah I also think Dobson's a beauty. They might trade him for Quinn, but I wouldn't recommend it. |

I doubt it. Maybe because Quinn has greater contract certainty. I guess it depends on your view of Dobson. I think he will become the elusive #1 RHD. Size and skill. They are unicorns. Quinn is great but he will always have some limitations due to his size |

I totally agree. Qh is a much flashier player, and could develop well defensively. The power forwards will always give him fits though. |

I was thinking about that type of deal as well.
But not for the Islanders, more like a cup contender like Colorado, NYR, Carolina, etc.
I’d be tempted to include TML, but don’t think they have much to offer in terms of assets.
