100 point players don't take 7 mil lol.
It would be a Draisaitl-type deal. - LordHumungous
I can't see it in VAN, EP's also going to be coming up.

Miller has never been a 100 point player. Last season was the first time he has even been close to reaching that mark. If he’s that big of an idiot not to accept $7m per for 7 years then I can’t wait to jettison his selfish ass. |

It will be interesting to see over the next couple of seasons why Canucks had Lekker ranked 7th. - boonerbuck

Don't forget this is the same guy who thought Jay Beagle was a good player and valuable to the team. |

Rounding up statistics drives me crazy. There are hard milestones that players achieve that deserve adulation. Coming close to those standards is not the same as players who actually achieve them.
The twins made it to game seven of the cup final so that’s pretty much the same as winning the cup. Good grief… |

7X7 would be good but doubt he takes that. |

A little early to pull the trigger on JR and PA. The climate just isn't there for a big JTM deal. Doesn't mean some tweaking can't be done at the lower levels. If they truly want to sign JTM then Pearson, Garland maybe Myers and a few others need to get shipped out. It can all happen. Time and patience dude. - LordHumungous
I’m very supportive of the new regime. I think they have one of the most complex management setups in the entire NHL. High quality people from top to bottom. But I don’t believe in the climate excuse. There’s always a climate for a good trade. Just got to have the skill to accomplish it.
Look at the Flames. They took chicken sh it and turned it into chicken salad (on paper). That’s what you got to do as a organization. |

Flames made out good. But also had cap space to work with losing Johnny and Turtle.
But I don't agree on the climate of the Miller deal. If it was there it would have been done. Willing to give PA a shot but I know what to expect from JR. |

Just be happy that Marwood and the associated types aren't in the GM seat. He would have sold the Sedins off after their best years in franchise history to keep rebuilding every 5 years for future 'assets' - LordHumungous
Man it’s hard being a Canuck fan.
Look at the avalanche. Won the cup in 96. Won again in 01. Won again in 22. In between those years they had some good seasons but also really bad seasons. That’s the lifecycle of a typical pro sports franchise.
Not the Canucks though. They are a franchise that peddles in disappointment. (frank)! |
