Day 1 It is quiet on Kadri. Lou is stealthy. Kadri to Isles
Day 2. Still quiet. Lou is quiet. Kadri to Isles
Day 15. Lou is quiet. Just needs to move players. Kadri to Isles all but done.
Day 20. I knew the Islanders moved on. Kadri to Calgary.
I honestly think this is a, Kadri didn't actually want to play for the Islanders scenario. He would be a 40 point scorer for that team and he knows it. - Mahewman

We still don't have a finalization on the deal, what's the hold up? |

Yeah this is weird. What are your sources saying Ek? The one thought I had was maybe the NHL veto'd the Monahan trade? As previously reported here, if the NHL thinks a franchise is making a really poor trade the NHL head office can veto the deal. |

Kadri is a decent player but 7 years at 7 mil is too much for a 32 year old who never produced at a very high level until this season. His previous high in points before this season was 61. Is he that guy or the 87 point guy he was this season? The stats would suggest the former.
Calgary has overpaid for him and will regret this deal very soon.

Calgary has a 2-4 year window. They are better today with Kadri and without Monahan.
Tre has managed to do very well considering the circumstances and he can still deal a top 4 dman for a top 6 winger. |

I agree the Flames have done a good job in replacing 2 very good players with very good players.
I also agree they are better today than they were yesterday .
However father time is undefeated. Kadri is an old 32 IMO.
Good luck to the Flames, I like your team and hope you do well. They are obviously going for it now and to hell with the future. Good on them.

Calgary has a 2-3 year window. When you have that window, you go all-in and deal with the fallout later. |

No, they are not, and they still won’t match up well against the Oil cone playoff time. |

7 years is too much... but I hafta give Treliving credit for this. After bungling Gaudreau, he has succeeded in replacing both Johnny and Tkachuk with comprable talent in the same off season. They'll be paying for it in a few years but for now this is great news for Falmes fans, congrats. - DanielEtvs
Bungling? What are talking about? Johnny being an unprofessional D-bag wasn’t on Tre. |

That 1st round pick they got from Florida went to the Habs with Mony.

Getting nothing for him is an epic fail. So yes, massively bungled. |

Trevelling should win executive of the year by default , what he did was nothing short of impressive, Flames will stay competitive for years, heck , I'm ready to say they might have the best defense in the West.

normally future considerations are not yet decided. they consider it, in the future.
Generally very small pieces. |

Is there still a full rumour blog coming? Before the Kadri news it was supposedly on the way. With Kadri gone its time to link Kessel, Subban, Stastny, Stepan, etc...We know Lou has a plan. Add in Philly, Nashville, a couple of Canadian teams. Boom. Hits. |
