So the reports are there are no contract talks and by all accounts no trade discussions either.
I’d say JR in his last interview pretty much said it there is no pressure or rush now to make trades etc. This is probably a tell that they want to see what they have first.
Most likely, by the half way point they will know who to sign and who to trade before TDL. |

JR might also be waiting to see what other teams are doing as well. I suspect things will pick up in September as in past seasons. |

And how do you know these are alts? If they are they do a great job at masking their alt IP addresses, because I have checked. - Makita
Narrative busted 😂👍 |

I read a tweet from Dhaliwal were he is trying to sensationalize the situation by inferring that Millers agent will break off all talks once training camp opens, seize back leverage as Dhaliwal puts it. |

It’s more like every offseason after UFA signings & cap is tight there is a long lull. JR only says the obvious & it’s a waiting game with camp next up. In season trades are rare so either they bang out a deal or it goes to near the TDL. Standard stuff. Only other possibility imo is another team caves if they are serious. Poker time |

Pure speculation during dog days of the offseason. No basis. |

That’s pretty typical. Players don’t want the distraction of contract negotiations while they are going about their daily routines. That doesn’t mean that the agent can’t still be working the deal and only take it to the client when certain conditions are met. |

Maybe so. Injuries always stir up needs for contending teams.
But something tells me from the reporting the Canucks want to see how a full team performs. Like JTM alluded they are still assessing to form their vision. |

That would be counter to their "there's a lot of unravelling to do" narrative. I doubt they meant only the 4th line. |

Well they aren’t talking contract. So to keep the status the same means play and see what trade proposals come in.
Like JR said about pressure points it seems the TDL is it. Pearson was rumored to be traded then they signed him by TDL. Yes different management group but it’s the pressure point that makes it happen. I guess the same will unfold with JTM. |

Yeah most likely this is the team that starts the season unless some teams become desperate and moves are made.
See how the this team performs over the first 20 games then assess.
I for one am excited for this season! |

Have they been saying that lately? It is that about assessing areas to improve? Like who stays or goes. |

Yeah unless someone is willing to offer the top 4 RHD in a package why not let them play.

I think it is naive to think they are satisfied with the couple of moves in the off season. Unless they are a carbon copy of the previous disastrous regime who constantly talked out of their ass.
I doubt that Curtis Lazar is the difference maker that makes them a playoff contender. |
