A perfect example of how Canucks fans badly overrate the teams players/former players is Tyler Motte, who some felt should get a 2 million dollar deal, yet still can't find a job in the league.

Again? Maybe EK hits this one or not.

Eklund: Rumor: Islanders may move to From Kadri to JT Miller. Colorado and Kadri?

I guess they liked his effort. But yes easily replaceable.

How do you like the forwards now? Overrated or on the verge to succeed as a group?

I don't watch Leafs unless they play Canucks, but have watched some clips of Mikheyev, since Canucks signed him. He seems to have speed to burn.
Kuzmenko I will judge after seeing him play at least a couple games in the NHL and Lazar I think is a good 4th liner, although I find him mediocre on the faceoffs.

From the best 4th line in the NHL to one of the best top 9’s. It’s a step in the right direction?

That’s fair. It leaves room that they can be complimentary players to the core. Sometimes these details help get the job done for team success.

All my Bruins fans buddies say the exact oppsosite!! Great GM'ing there K-Dog...

Anything else?

You tend to overate every new Canuck player I watched him sit in the press box for years in Calgary, he added nothing to any game he happened to play in. Nice guy, but he’s going to disappoint more than a few here.

According to Jfresh's model (ha-ha, I know) he projects to throw the most hits per 60 in the entire NHL next season.

Jfresh also rating the Flames D #1 in the league Just saying he did nothing while playing in Calgary.

Miky is as advertised. He’s past his culture transition phase. That'll be the big challenge for Kuz. More Russians oughta help him. I’m not having high expectations just they both play smart & play their game. Let it go from there. Best part is both are seasoned. Lazar will bring energy & compete.

I rather think they are 3rd wheels to compliment a line. Do that & a line can gel. Line dynamics are the key in all my expectations. Going to be up to Bruce & his coaches to figure it out. Best thing is plenty of top 9 options & versatility.

Having 3 C depth scoring 30 each is a great start up the middle.

Scoring wingers is there especially with BB bouncing back imo. Garland should improve output. He’s just a waterbug with something to prove. How Pod improves will be a big boost. The rest should feed off of their linemates. If all this happens the fun will be tremendous.

BB & Garland may also be shipped out this season.

And apparently every player will improve on last season (set new career high). Canucks will probably score 400 goals this year!

Don’t see Brock going anywhere. They expect him to bounce back after his off ice weight has gone. Garland would be the ticket if a big move is there.

Good morning — or afternoon or evening, depending where you are...

New blog is up, setting up today's WJC action and taking a quick look at some new wrinkles for Abbotsford coming up this fall.
