Hardly trash but middle of the pack for sure.
We were 9th best in goals against last year.
Sure its Demko but we work with what we have and trading Boeser could net us a young defencemen to help out.
Our problem is we need offence and getting rid of Miller and his points will keep us a bubble team. Boeser's and Pearson's offence output are easily replaced. - NightBeast
Depends on how well Brock bounces back after his off ice concerns. Imo not easily replaceable. Pearson yes. |

Bottomline what I am trying to say is I would rather have Miller and a million dollar replacement player vs. Boeser and Pearson for 2023-2024 season.
What would you choose between these two options? |

Neither. It doesn't have to one or the other. |

I hearya but I don’t see it coming down to that choice. Brock deserves a bounce back year which I’m certain he’ll do & Miller has a lot to prove & will be highly motivated if unsigned. Better to wait til Pearson has 1 year left. Next year buyouts become a real option. |

Yeah that works if BB nets you the young NHL ready RHD.
If it’s about cap then move Garland and Pearson for whatever futures you can get. The new winger forward Russians are key to replacing them in top 6.
This probably happens regardless of JTM and Horvat extensions. It’s always best to keep both top centers and move wingers. [img][/img] |

JR alluded to 6yrs for Miller he said the years 1-3 are fine it’s years 4-6 he is concerned with. He didn’t say Miller would drop off a cliff. The cap being his projection longer term is the meaning.
With rumour being the low 40m range offered sounds like JR’s stance is a 5yr offer say 5/8.5m & a big part of JT saying talks are not close. A ploy only to have it both ways for Canucks with term & $. So where will it go get a deal done…
5/8.5m Miller caves? Not likely
6/8m? Miller says easy no.
6/8.5m? JR’s counter. Miller listens
7/8.5m? Miller counters. JR holds firm
5/8.75m? JR counter. Miller easy no
6/8.75m JR final offer.
Miller says what?
1) 7/8.5m
2) 6/9m |

I was offering him a lower AAV & it was also before it was disclosed about his off ice distractions weighing heavily on him. |

JT was being honest when it’s at it’s darkest times. Nothing wrong with that. Beats regular vanilla speak. He understands the fans passion & he also has passion to be a part of being the solution. He loves the guys & where it could all lead to. - Nighthawk
He's being honest about the darkest times being the first shift in the first game of a new contract... ouch.
At least I saw it as a exaggeration... |

10x the population & the big hype machine. College football drives the NFL. We don’t have that either. My 1 critique is our large field just isn’t sexy when it comes to camera angles & that feel you are right close to the action. Other side of the coin is way more action & far less time killed. - Nighthawk
It’s all about the money like everything else, changes are coming once the gold standard is finalized and off the fake money debt system where pulling money out of thin air comes to an end. |

That’s the perception, the cfl game moves much faster, the NFL is more about the money, commercial every 10 minutes etc, it’s presented better because of corporate business, the cfl game is much better if all the skill moved up here along with the money. - Bettmanhatesus

It would be two - million dollar replacement players in your scenario. Plus, I’m not confident that Podkolzin is ready to play in the top six consistently.
Plus plus, I don’t think you get more than a mid round pick for Boeser, and I don’t think you get anything for Pearson unless you are willing to retain 50%, which would be stupid in my opinion.
So, in this scenario, I’d rather trade Miller. Or let him walk at the end of the year for nothing. |
