Haha I would almost say that no information IS new information. Considering they said he would be ramping it up in July to get ready for the start of the season.

I think the guys career is over. Chuck has been (mis)handling the cap space as if this is the case.

If there were ANY chance he could come back this season it would mean they have to do major surgery to the roster to fit him when he does. Chuck may be incompetent but no one is that incompetent. He knows Ellis isn't coming back this year.

Right now, Attard. Younger and is highly skilled. If he can develop a solid game away from the puck. He could be a solid player for this team.

I see Myers as more purely defensive and Attard as more purely offensive.

Honestly I think Myers has a better upside for what his role would be.

My issue is, the example of one of the final games where Provorov cuffed up the puck behind the net I wanna say. I believe that was Attard’s man Provorov was fending off with zero support from his D partner.

Rod has said repeatedly he has no interest in making a second career out of being a head coach, but if he ever did decide to give it a try anywhere else, Philadelphia is probably the only other place he'd consider.

Any chance to give Frost a BrindAmour blood transfusion or insert some of his DNA?

Just give Brind'amour a couple months working with the guy. You either buy in and play like he did or you don't play on his team. Period.

I have absolutely no hope for Attard. This isn’t me stacking a claim because every fan should want their youth to develop and become successful. I'm not saying he looked great but being yanked around the lineup paired with Seeler, Yandle, and then finally Provorov is not conducive to success. In fact, I think he had his best games paired with Provorov. Can we give the kid a full AHL season before completely writing him off?

I don’t think he should have been put in that situation to begin with, Yes. I don’t think a developing player should be tossed right into the nhl right out of college, so I admit to judging harshly but his mistakes were blunders.

Certainly agree with that but the fear I have is that the Flyers will completely try and remake the player and have him play as a 3rd pair stay at home defender. Make him earn offensive situation and PP ice time.

He was signed to an entry level deal and they were going to burn the first year so he was going to play in the NHL no matter what. I agree he looked completely outmatched at times, but there is skill there. Hopefully he can turn into a nice bottom 4, 2nd PP type guy. If anything, I'm more interested in watching guys like him and Brink and their development this year rather than the Flyers.

Definitely a fear I have as well. I hope they give him PP time right away because that's probably where his skillset will be utilized best.
