If Ridly Greig is the thing holding it up, Dorion needs to calm the hell down. They already have Pinto and Formenton who provide similar things to what a best case scenario Greig would.

Saw a post this morning saying the only block to Chychrun being traded to Sens is that the Sens are refusing include Ridley Grieg into the deal. I suppose they will find a different formula that works. I know Chychrun is in Ottawa now and has let it be known that he would be happy if he was traded to Ottawa. Can't imagine a player would allow the quote to stand if there was not some fire connected to the smoke.

I think there probably is a deal on the table. Too many around the Sens are just too giddy about it possibly happening. I am guessing. But I think Formenton is the hold up. He is rumoured to be part of the Hockey Canada inquiry and I think that needs some clarity before anything moves forward in regard to Chychrun.

So, I wonder if it is an either/or of Formenton/Grieg in being able to close the deal. Both teams seem okay with the hold that seems to be in place. Both have other options so you would think they are probably waiting for some clarity before nailing it down.

I can't imagine that it's coming in lower than $5.5m - and that's on a bridge. That would leave them $5.6m available with Bellows and Romanov unsigned. I mean both probably come pretty cheap - but it eats into the available space.

If Lou is making that deal, who is he moving out that someone wants? I can't imagine that he's moving Pulock of Pelech. Outside of Barzal - Lee, Bailey, Clutterbuck, Nelson, Pageau, Palmieri and Czikas are all too old or too well paid for their production - or both simultaneously. I think Beauvillier, while only 25, is also overpaid, but he might be moveable.
