I hate having to defend a pickle but I don't think the pickle thinks that taxes dont matter. Me thinks the pickle was mackling an ironic joke- dont you think?l

Sounds like he’ll be in the mix. He’s arguably better than Hunt.
I did think he played decent when I saw him with Devils last year. Surprised they didn’t keep him. - jimbro83
He still looks like he is 12 years old |

In hindsight, he had 3 pretty decent seasons for the Rangers (16, 17, 17 goals), just wasn’t the type of player we were all expecting. Hunt had 6 goals playing mostly with Panarin. No problem with adding Vesey for the bottom 6 or as the extra forward. |

750k, it's nothing, it's essentially a PTO, if he doesn't make the team he'll go to hartford unless somebody snatches him off waivers

People need to take the Vesey we thought we were gonna get and shelf it.
The kid can still play, its just gonna be in a bottom 6 role. Were looking at someone who could contribute 15-20 pts, playing 10-12min a game. Thats pretty good. I dont mind for league minimum. |

This is really an issue imo. It’s beyond unfair that these certain teams have this ridiculous advantage. They need to adjust this somehow in the next CBA where these teams have less cap room or the other teams with state tax get more cap room. They basically can get an extra 5-6 million dollar player, certainly way more wiggle room to lure a player the other teams can’t
For instance, Kadri is probably already officially signed by the Islanders if they had this extra cash that Florida has for example - Slimtj100
Its not gonna happen, hasnt ever been brought up in the GM meetings. |

I never thought he would amount to what he's accomplished. He was somebody else's third-rounder. |

Im wrong because 23 year old millionaires rather do lines off your daughter's ass than worry about 35 years from now when their earnings in one month are more than what a bathroom attendant's earned in a life time of $1 tips? |

For guys making league minimum, it matters 35 years from now.
But this is about contracts, and their effect on team financial management and whether or not players care about taxes.
Lets take Panarin. On paper hes making 11.6 million, but to say that the 2 million hes paying in state and city taxes didnt factoring into his contract demands is ridiculous. To say he doesnt care that hes paying that is just dumb. |

As much as I would have liked him here, theres no way we could have retained him for anything over like 3.5m. Hes also a LW so that just compounds our issues for time on the left side. |

The Yotes have a price on everyone, his was going to be particularly high. Im just surprised that anyone resigns there knowing that theyre gonna play in a 5000 seat college rink. |

Right you have the pulse of 23yo hockey players.
Dude you are still stuck in the 80's. stop jerking off to Alt already. Let me guess, you have to stay 250 feet from all schools as part of your plea bargain. |
