-No. I just don’t believe they are beyond reproach.

-Lou was told they were moving on from him as GM. His own accord?

-Players are supposed to evolve. It’s the now that counts.

So if Lou signs Kadri, it has nothing to do with trolling the leafs or dubas. What a garbage reach on your part.
What does Lou probably overpaying for Kadri have to do with the leafs several years after he was traded?
Hint:
Nothing. None Leafs fans, quit making everything not about the Leafs about the Leafs.

There's a reason why you dont see exits like that happen too often. Case in point with Calgary this summer. The players informed their team they werent staying. No fan cared that Tavares left.....it was asking not to be traded, and then publicly stating how special it is to retire with the team that drafts you. I love how leaf fans act like this was a normal transition. I'd argue its not very captain esq...

Again, he didnt know exactly what he was going to do.
He decided in after the season.
I understand Isle fans were pissed, but to be still going on about it, burning jerseys etc...is/was just dumb. Move on. (not specific to you, just in general to those Isles fans who are still whining about it.)

I think if you're being honest about the situation as it played out.....as a captain and a face of the franchise, you grab your sack and have that hard conversation with management. Asking not to be traded, and publicly making statements about finishing your career with your draft team, is misleading, and quite frankly, awkward, like his personality. I dont know a single fan, that was upset that he left, just how it was handled. There's a reason you dont often see a first overall pick leave and get nothing in return....has it ever happened before? That said, the isles management held onto the candle too long....so i blame them for getting no asset in return.
