I am taking the attitude or belief that Davidson was perhaps over anxious to begin the rebuild with his type players. If that was his objective then he accomplished what he aimed for. Sure we got less than we reasonably expected. In that event happening = we gave up too much for Jones. Because we came out on the looser side of both trades. Diedn't mean we despair so badly though

Which really brings up the following point (and I mean to address Ogilthorpe and others) as an end all to.those transactions: how does the team fit together after five years with Jones and our 2022 #1?

We may still deride those trades. But we may also be happy with how a Jones and our #1 2022 look in our lineup in five years.

Best case scenario is to hope exactly this.scenario plays out
