I believe the panthers had the best record in the league during the regular season. A 4 game sweep out of the playoffs, was not on anyones radar. They were pushed around by Tampa, and went clubbing the night before the final game, they needed a culture change, this deal helps start it.

I think the flames knew to a man they were facing a mass exodus, their early Elimination was not a great surprise to me. Plus, I don’t think much of Sutter as a coach, he certainly didn’t deserve the Adams.

I’ll. Go out on a limb for you. Kakko is very close to a bust. I guess when he was being scouted by teams, they didn’t realize test he was head and shoulders better than the kids he was playing against ]It hasn’t translated to the NHL game. A choppy stride, has hampered his development, coupled with when he tries to add some physicality to his game he gets hurt. Chytil can skate, but that’s it. He’s soft, doesn’t create, doesn’t make anyone better. Keep him around to play 3rd line minutes? Sure.
Kravstov? Who the hell knows.

How close is very close? An 18yo thrown into a covid situation, then gets hurt in his first full season. Definitely very close.

Well if they didnt realize he was head and shoulders better than the kids he was playing against...humm.....ahh...wait...what the hell do you mean??

If you havent been paying attention, Chytil is our 3rd line center behind Vinny and Mika.

I don’t like Kakko’s game, and don’t believe it will translate into anything close to a top draft pick.

As I noted, Chytil is a 3rd line center with minimal upside IMHO.

As for Kravstov, let’s see if he hangs around.

You’re entitled to disagree with my assessment of some of the Rangers players. But I’m also entitled to voice them, even if they’re contrary to popular belief here.

Its not that, its just your use of language. Its hard to follow.

In any case…

Theres a reason why Kakko was the consensus #2 pick, he was even considered #1 at times. Because he was head and shoulders that much better. Thats kinda how it works. However, we will see this year whether theres a next level to him or if its more of the same. I have no personal attachment to him but Id prefer to get back another young player for him rather than in a trade for Kane.

Everyone knows my thoughts on Chytil.

I had high expectations for Kravtsov before he had a total meltdown. We will see this year what happens.

The grass is always greener. Matt Tkakuck’s teams have made the playoffs 4 times in his career. He has played 27 playoff games with 15 pts and is minus 11. Not exactly the way you portrayed him. He was a regular season beast last year for the first time.

Theyre still 3.5m over the salary cap so theres definitely another move coming. It would make the most sense for them to get out of the Hornqvist contract, but theyve traded away every 1st round pick for like the next 5 years.

And theyre gonna end up losing, arguably, the better goalie in Spencer Knight. I cant see him resigning in Florida.

They are actively looking to move bob. They’ll probably have to eat salary or throw in picks

They have no picks left, theyve traded them all unless they want to go 7 years without a 1st. Theyll for sure have to retain, at minimum 3mil.

Bob also has a full NMC until 2024 so, if he doesnt want to go, he doesnt have to.

Bob was either the dumbest signing ever or Knight was the dumbest draft pick ever. Either way they (frank)ed up

I can’t remember which decision came first

I think Bob first then they drafted Knight the year after, must have been a nervous draft pick because Bob's first year was hot garbage.

They drafted Knight and then 2 weeks later signed Bob. Draft was June 21, signed Bob July 1st, both in 2019.

So dumb. Sign a goalie for a few years at half the price was a much better option

Why in the world would Bob waive his NMC to leave tax free sunny waters of Florida? Thats the first question Id ask.

If theyd have to retain atleast 3m for anyone to even consider it.

Their only option is a buyout.
