This is what concerns me: “ I think Drury would very much have an interest in trading Panarin.” It can’t just be the playoffs, so what is it. - airjan23
Aside from what was reported after the playoffs, has there been any other reports to say he wants to move him? I cant believe that. I dont think he would cause such a riff with his best forward. |

I think at some point we’ll see
Panarin Zib Kravtsov
Kreider Trocheck Cuylle
Laf Chytil Kakko
Call those line whatever u want, but if they play the line that’s playing the best during each game who cares what order/number they are. |

Im pretty sure the Trochek signing was predicated on him playing with Panarin. Furthermore, the love affair Kreider and Zib have for each other makes me doubt theyll split that also.
Cuylle is a LW so I doubt that happens. No, its not as simple as playing any wing, maybe in the ECHL a pro level winger can play anywhere, but at the NHL level playing the off wing is a whole different animal. |

In the defensive zone- i wonder if he and Bread can play their off sides in the O zone and strong sides in the D zone? Maybe too much confusion |

Transitions happen WAY too fast, and neither of them are defensive maestro's. I could easily see one if not both ending up out of position when attempting to backcheck. |

Yes, for the next 4 years Trochek can only play with Panarin or else his 7 year deal will be voided. It’s actually a clause in the contract.
Where else is Cuylle going to play? Every report out there is that he has a legit chance of making the team, he was one of the last cuts last year in camp. He’s taking a spot from Laf Panarin or Kreider? Or are we just going to bury him on the 4th line? |

#CBJ have traded Oliver Bjorkstrand to Seattle for third-round and fourth-round draft picks in 2023.
This is the salary cap move to get compliant after signing Gaudreau and keeping Laine. |

I know some don’t put to much into +/- but he was a team leading -35 by a wide margin. Not saying it’s a bad move, but that might be part of the return. |

Ive been saying this since the entire last season, but what I say is trash until someone else says it.
Wheres he gonna play? Either the 3rd or 4th line LW. Youre saying that LAF, our #1 pick, guy who was 1 goal away from 20 last year, is gonna play on the third line and Cuylle is gonna be the one to play the off wing on Panarin's line? ... AND you seriously think a guy that threw a temper tantrum and left to Russia is gonna be on GG's good side such that he will be 1RW? Whether you like it or not, Kravtsov will not be the 1RW and Cuylle wont be the 2RW.
The lines youre likely to see will be..
Kreider, Zib, LAF/Blais
Panarin, Trochek, Kakko/Blais
Krav/Cuylle/LAF, Chytil, Blais/Kakko/Krav
Cuylle/Hunt/Goodrow/Carpenter/Reaves/Blais
Blais is this years Hunt, he will likely be playing on every line depending on how GG is feeling. |

Lines Id like to see in January...
LAF, Zib, Kakko (enough is enough, they need to be spotlighted)
Panarin, Trochek, Krav
Kreider, Chytil, Blais
Cuylle, Goodrow, Reaves/Carpenter/Hunt
Id also like to see a line of Kreider, Trochek, Blais just for shtsngiggles... they would be an absolute nuisance out there pissing everyone off. |

Ok, so Cuylle can’t play on his off wing, but Laf can. Gotcha.
I’m not saying Cuylle is going to start on the 2nd line, I said at some point I could see it happening. Just like when we signed Panarin and everyone said how dumb it would be to split him and Zib up, and what do u know, they don’t play together. Kravtsov is going to earn his way into the top 6, he’s extremely talented and when he was playing here a few years ago looked miles ahead of the other kids. He looked great in camp last year and got sent down, did he deserve it? No. Did he handle it the right way? No. Do I think Gallant is going to hold that over his head after all the Rangers did/said to get him back here? No. If he comes out in camp and impresses, he’s going to be in the top 6. |

Of course LAF can, he did it. Wow.
You want to tell me a rookie thats never done it at the NHL level is a better fit to play his off wing? Basically setting up the kid to fail. |

it has it's use sometimes, but in a case like this, Columbus had horrendous goaltending last season, just horrendous, one of a handful of teams to give up 300 goals against |
