You're making yourself look like a clown by claiming that I defended the Ristolainen and Ellis trades. I have also never defended the hire of Fletcher. In fact as was adamantly against the firing of Hextall. You must be on drugs or badly confused
All you did was look at the rumors and take a stab at Giroux going to Ottawa. You were right but you did not have the inside info that you claimed to. When it comes to Gaudreau, you fabricated 90% of it and you know it. It's blatantly obvious. - MJL
Bs you didn’t defend Risto trade at first or Ellis. You were all gun ho the first couple weeks when philly came out strong last year.
And did I EVER waiver on anything I said regarding cc or jg? No. Did I ever claim that I had first hand DIRECT knowledge? No. I gave EXACT account and source of what I heard or was told. You just have “opinion” and that’s absolutely fine. But your opinion does not make fact. Like I said show me where I EVER said I had direct anything. Who gives a flying (frank) in fact all the reports and rumors and speculation you speak of actually shows the credibility of what I was told so how the (frank) could I make up 90% of it? Oh because it’s your opinion. Gotcha ya. It just absolutely burns you that you know this as fact. Everything I said was collaborates by your sources.
Oh wait… cf came out and said he never was in on jg.
Yeah (frank)ing right. I guess you believe that. Oh wait you do because no team would go millions over cap in July.
Even tho I put up cap friendly link yesterday showing 6 (frank)ing teams over camp now in July but not your opinion so can’t be fact. Piss off dude. |

I still think it made no sense to sit him. We were already long out of the playoffs. Sitting him meant playing Kevin Connauton, Nick Seeler or Ronnie Attard. I’d rather watch Yandle play without skate blades then to see those 3. - SuperSchennBros
Attard has no future no need to play him. |

15 million is nothing to Comcast. When they do their taxes much less of a loss.
This is a toy for them. The arena itself is their main concern. As long as the at is filled year round is the pie in the sky. That is why the are very unlikely to sell the team. - furio16
You’re right. Stayin alive‘s argument is Comcast only cares about money (which is true) but don’t care if people show up, which couldn’t possibly be right. |

This is utter stupidity. 500M divided by 32 teams is 15+M lost revenue per team. That is a huge number. Huge.
Hire a coach to feed profits through publicity. LMAO. - MJL
5 billion in revenue. Divided by 32. What’s philly revenue that’s a huge number.
Oh wait league basically shut down for 2 years. They lost HUGE.

Comcast doesn't own the Flyers just to absorb losses. With any parent company, the look at each entity as it's own business. A 15M loss in revenue is a big deal. Haven't stated that they're likely to sell the team.

I'll save you the trouble.
It was estimated the league lost more than 500 MILLION DOLLARS playing in empty stadiums. Average of $1.7M per game supposedly.
Divide that by 31 and you get an idea of how much it hurt the Flyers. - Tomahawk
Most of that is because they lost the ticket revenue, right?

Is Bedard the generational talent that Chuck is booting next season for? If I were him I’d hope so. - Duran76
Bedard is not projected to be a generational player. His ceiling is somewhere below Matthews. How much is speculation at this point.

As a percentage of Comcast Corp's revenue and profit the Flyers organization is a rounding error, even in the best of times.
Who should care are the people in charge of the Flyers organization. |

Pronmans ranking, more raise than anyone from this years draft
1. Connor Bedard, C, Regina (WHL)
Bedard is the type of prospect you dream of being around when picking No. 1. He’s a game-breaker. Bedard has fantastic individual skill while also being exceptionally smart with the puck. He creates chances out of nothing for his teammates and shows elite ability to manipulate defenses. His shot is also truly elite and he’s a threat to score from anywhere in the offensive zone. Bedard lacks ideal NHL size, but he competes well and is a very good skater. He’s more quick than fast, but he can pull away from checks. He should tear up the WHL next season and be in the NHL shortly after scoring in bunches.

So a league that generates over 5BILLION is estimated to lost 500 MILLION during no fans in stands. Divide that on average out per team
So roughly 10% lost to NO FANS.
Thank you for your help.
The flyers could not care less about fans in stands. Surely they can find a way to make that 10% up. Idk spitballing here.
1)hire a coach to feed profits through publicity
2) create a stupid mascot to generate money and distract from product on ice
3) just on and on.
Small slice of pie is the average fan. I wonder what a suite cost to license in Philly. - Stayin alive
They didn't make $5B during Covid.
Commissioner Bettman said the revenue projections were off about $1 billion after the 2019-20 season was paused March 12, 2020, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs were played with no fans in Edmonton and Toronto hub cities. They were down $2.5 billion-$3 billion last season when the NHL played a shortened 56-game season primarily with no fans or a small percentage of them in arenas.
Playing to little/no fans not only killed gate revenues, but sponsorships and ad buys also down.
If a team sucks, and fans stay home, it's gonna hit them in gate revenues and corporate revenues. |

15 m loss to Comcast or it’s subsidiary is like you or I losing a Penney. You can choose to believe 15m is a huge number. It’s not. Not in their eyes. Obviously no business wants to lose a dime. But making it sound like they care about fans in the stands is false.
Let me ask you this. Is for sake of argument state of Penn or USA put restrictions on Comcast highest profit business money maker how fast and how much do you think they’d spend to lobby(buy) those restrictions away ?
How much did Comcast or any other teams corp or billionaire spend to fight bs attendance restrictions placed by states cities governments?
Yes obviously teams want fans in stands. But it’s not really their biggest concern. Where was this big push to put fans in stands and all that. They don’t really care as long as money is gonna be made.
What’s coyotes doing playing in front of how many “fans” how could that be? |

What the hell are you talking about? LOL There isn't a single post where I claimed that teams weren't over the upper limit in July. What I schooled you on is that all of those teams are already set up to be cap compliant and tried to educate you on the difference of teams that have an avenue already in place. Versus going over the cap using the off season 10% exemption without an avenue in place and having to find teams willing to help you out. What the risk is with that. This is the 4th time I have attempted to explain this to you. It is beyond your comprehension ability.
You've now sufficiently bored me and your credibility is down the drain.
